A great story that overlooks key details and tends to drag on.

I truly enjoyed this book as being a big fan of retro video games. It is the best book that I have read on such a subject but it is not without its faults. The epilogue in my opinion should’ve been expanded and should’ve elaborated more. The book also tends to drag on as many have claimed, particularly in the middle. While many have claimed that plenty of the dialogue is cringeworthy I think that... they were completely right. Some of the lines made me cringe and wonder what the author had been thinking. But the bottom line is that this is a fantastic book for fans and newcomers of the retro gaming alike.

It was first completed as a term paper when David Lane was only 20 years old as an undergraduate student at CSUN. Later, it evolved into a very controversial book which caused a worldwide stir in the Eckankar organization. Contains extensive documentation on how Paul Twitchell created a fictional mythology about himself while denying his association with certain spiritual teachers.

This was the original book that caused a worldwide controversy in Eckankar because it showed that the founder, Paul Twitchell, had invented the "Eck Masters" that supposedly preceded him and that he had plagiarized extensively from other spiritual books, particularly Julian P. Johnson's The Path of the Masters.
Absolutely essential listening/reading for anyone wanting to know the secret history behind Paul Twitchell and Eckankar.

Although there is now a plethora of books by and about Rumi, I thought it might be instructive to republish a small portion of Edward Henry Whinfield's English translation of Rumi's Persian masterpiece. I think it is vitally important in today's social climate to focus on those aspects of Islam which elevate humankind and I can think of no better place to start than with the Sufi mystics of Islam, of which Rumi is the most famous (and perhaps finest) example.
