I really enjoyed this audio book. it was every well written and acted out. it has all the parts of a great drama: love, gold, traps, sadness, loss, historical connections. While everything unravels around the main characters.

This was a very good book and well performed. I've read a lot of the Dirk Pitt series from Clide Clustler and this is the first of the Oregon trail series. I was pleasantly surprised by how good it was. I can't wait for the next one.

Jumped all over the place for the first half

It really jumped all over the place in the first half or more. Some interesting other parts I didn't care for. It did get really good closer to the end, so I'm glad I finished it.

Great concept but I lost interest for about half of it. Performance was good but it was hard to make out all different people.

this is very short, barely a thought

This is barely a thought. I would say, not even a short story. Yes it adds to the series telling you how the nowhere man restarts, but that is about it. It really should be the opening in book two.

Not as good as part 1

It was just interesting enough to keep going. But probably won't do part three. I really liked how the drew from history to explain how humans might have evolved. but the rest kind of dragged on. At time good, other times not so much.

Is this really in the James Bond universe? Perhaps it's just a bad dream. Please no more!!!

Overall I would say it's pretty bad. I could hardly make it through the audio book. But the last two hours are faster paced.

Cons:
- Oh my God, stop detailing every thing: they look at, tastes, thinks, remembers, etc. I think it was just a way to make the book longer and maybe pull in people that are not your "normal" Bond fans. Why change the formula if it has worked for so many decades??
- In the normal series Bond was the best, but at least the other agents were competent. These agents I would never have watching my back or my country. I just remember "... what should I do, what should I do ..." I don't know your job...
- The old M always gave Bond a plan at least (often we would not know what it is, but at least it was general there. Here Money Penny is like a chicken with her head chopped of. If I remember correctly she was shooting a gun in this story... what? Oh all my 00s are dying, but I'm in charge.
- Is it really a Bond side series if everyone just thinks about how his eyes looked, how he smelled, how he kissed, or why they thought they were better than him? Oh he had one 10 second scene.
- Too many people (agents) to keep track of, my God. 000, 004, 008, the safe cracker, Luke, of and 007, and bad guys. And if you are going to have so many people, Why not make the female names more feminine, not Howard.

Please stop killing the 007 name.

To much details, making it a bit slow. But a good story

Too many details, The narrator would go of on a 3 minute expansion of something to get us up to speed, at the same time in the background telling the other characters. It was too in-depth and should of just stayed as a conversation.

Very well performed and a great story

I loved all the different voices, the way an audible book should be.

The thought the story was quite good. I did figure some of it out but it kept me guessing.

This performance was a step back for James Bond books

I'm a huge fan of James Bond books and have read almost all of them. I was very excited to hear they were remaking some of them and was hoping for a theatrical reading. since sometimes in the past the female voices were very poorly done but the rest of the voices were rather good.

This time it was just the opposite you had a woman doing All the voices while she was quite talented it didn't ring true for the main actor being a male. why can't they employ multiple voice talents to read for each part of the book! That's what we're paying for.

In regards to the book itself this was one of the my least favorites it took a long time to get to the action. There was a lot of setup and the action was only for few chapters it seemed like versus the movie action was throughout it, if I remember correctly.

Audible should do better!!!
