Historia
The reviews called it "A Play to Die For" after the woman was found dead in the front row. It didn't seem so funny the next night, when another body was found - this time the playwright's, his throat slashed.
Detective Kathy Mallory takes over, but no matter what she asks, no one seems to be giving her a straight answer. The only person - if "person" is the right word - who seems to be clear is the ghostwriter. Every night, an unseen backstage hand chalks up line changes and messages on a blackboard. And the ghostwriter is now writing Mallory into the play itself, a play about a long-ago massacre that may not be at all fictional.

Great story even if not read previous Mallory
Revisado: 08-18-15
Even if a person not having listened/read the Mallory series can fall captive with this story. This is an exciting story that draws you into the personalities and drama. I'm not talking about if you love them or not. Their flaws hold your interest. I keep hoping for something more, since Mallory was/ is such a strong character (and can be unlikeable). The story pulls you in, then dances with your imagination until you don't want to stop until the finale. This is not a book to be passed up.

My Favorite Story of the Year
Revisado: 08-08-15
This book has everything you want in a story to hold your interest and move you along with the characters and events. The turn of events, the characters with their flaws, as well as their unwise decisions are perfectly pulled together to create this unforgettable book.

Historia
Lillian Linden is a liar. On the surface, she looks like a brave survivor of a plane crash. But she's been lying to her family, her friends, and the whole world since rescue helicopters scooped her and her fellow survivor, Dave Hall, off a deserted island in the South Pacific. Missing for almost two years, the castaways are thrust into the spotlight after their rescue, becoming media darlings overnight. But they can't tell the real story--so they lie.

A different kind of tropical holiday...
Revisado: 03-12-15
This book caught my attention because I lived in Fiji for five years and often heard of small boats becoming caught in strong currents and people never being found. It doesn't happen as often with small planes, but since most planes I saw (& flew on) were old, I also heard of small planes lost at sea between the hundreds of small island. The events and tension between the survivors continue to build from the first page. Storyline: death, murder, birth & death and LIES with an ending having a different twist. This book is a page-turner...

Historia
The debut psychological thriller that will forever change the way you look at other people's lives. Every day the same. Rachel takes the same commuter train every morning and night. Every day she rattles down the track, flashes past a stretch of cozy suburban homes, and stops at the signal that allows her to daily watch the same couple breakfasting on their deck. She’s even started to feel like she knows them. Jess and Jason, she calls them. Their life - as she sees it - is perfect. Not unlike the life she recently lost.

Very interesting story on a damaged person
Revisado: 01-21-15
I was captivated by this book from the first chapter. When I finished the book, I listened a second time. That's how much I liked it. I understand how tragic lives can get (reflecting on my sister's life). If a depressing story isn't for you, then this may not be either...Great writing, readers are fabulous and you are drawn into the scene.

A Great Mistery from Start to End
Revisado: 11-07-14
I was reluctant to buy this audio because of a few poor reviews, but I'm very glad to have listened to it. It was very captivating and did something I rarely do....I listened for a second time immediately afterwards! I may listen to a book again months later, but Not this time. I wanted to make sure I didn't miss any details. Don't expect a happy ending.

Entertaining, interesting and a captivating story
Revisado: 10-04-14
Other than being an extremely long story, it doesn't have dull parts or ramble. The characters are well-developed and as a historical fiction, very interesting. This would be a great book for a long trip.

Okay, maybe I listen to too many murder/thriller stories, but I found the ending weak and drifting and went back to listen to the ending twice more just to make sure I didn't miss something. The storyline held my interest, but many parts were unbelievable and vague.

This is a happy, somewhat unbelievable, story to share on a trip without worrying about offending passengers riding with you. Characters are interesting, story holds your interest and from start to finish holds together. I usually pick murder, crime, etc., but this was a nice break.

More than you EVER want to know about wolves
Revisado: 09-11-14
In typical Jodi P style, story pulls together well and characters are equally interesting. I have always been a JP fan, but this storyline was not for me. It was very enjoyable from beginning to end, but you must have some patience in the middle portion, it can be a bit too much wolf info. Having lived on a cattle ranch, you can guess why.
