Truly awful don't waste your time.
Revisado: 06-19-23
Kept waiting for it to get better. Never did. Story was the useless ramblings of two less than likeable girls and was pure dribble with little plot. Narration was bad as well. You could not tell which girl was talking. I rarely leave bad reviews but this was awful. Sorry I wasted my time on this book. I will never read or listen to this author again. And if I could figure out who the female narrators were I would blocklist them from my library as well.

Surprisingly good
Revisado: 06-12-23
I was hesitant to start this book fearing it might be too much of a children's tale. It wasn't and I'm so happy I finally listened to it. It had surprising but familiar twists and turns and never lost my interest. I am eagerly starting the next book in the series.

Narration ruined book
Revisado: 08-24-21
I listen to 3 to 4 audiobooks every week and I have NEVER been as bothered by bad narration as I was with this book. I rarely am bothered by bad narration and even when it is not great, I soldier thru because it just doesn’t bother me a lot. This book’s narration totally ruined the book for me. It was AWEFUL. the book jumps back and forth in time telling two stories and also has several characters (no surprise). The narration was so bad that I could never tell or hear when the story was switching centuries or characters. It was almost impossible to maintain focus on the book’s storyline with the result that I continually wondered what the story was. I backed up and relistened more times than I can count and I even relistened to the entire book a second time and I still could not keep track of who was who or what the story was. After all of that I finally developed a vague idea of the storyline and it was ok at best. If I could give the performance zero stars I would. I do not recommend this book as an audiobook.

Disgusting! Won't read this author again.
Revisado: 08-06-16
Would you try another book from Maya Banks and/or Adam Paul?
Not under any circumstances
What could Maya Banks have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?
Get rid of the disgusting depraved slave sex descriptions and male character that was truly not likeable.
Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Adam Paul?
No change of narrator would make this book any better
You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
No, not that I could find. The more I listened, the worse it got.

Don't waste your credit
Revisado: 05-20-14
What disappointed you about Arctic Chill?
This book was boring beyond measure. It never went anywhere. I always finish listening to my books but this one was a real struggle to continue. Perhaps the worst book I have listened to in a very long time.
What do you think your next listen will be?
A mystery
What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?
The narrator was fine. Have heard him many times and liked his style and voice. The book just has no zing or interest.
If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Arctic Chill?
The entire book
