Historia
It was a glittering event full of A-listers, hosted by Eliza Lane and Brant Fitzhugh, a celebrity couple who’d conquered both Hollywood and Broadway. And now Eve Dallas has made her entrance—but not as a guest. After raising a toast, Fitzhugh fell to the floor and died, with physical symptoms pointing to cyanide, and the police have crashed the party. From all accounts, he wasn’t the kind of star who made enemies. Everyone loved him—even his ex-wife. And since the champagne cocktail that killed him was originally intended for Eliza, it’s possible she was the real target.

not the best
Revisado: 04-03-23
the in death series is one of my favorites of all time. I brag on how intricately the crime is intertwined with the characters backstories. this book was not that at onepoont I felt like it was just spinning in circles and there was really no time spent with the main characters. it kind of made me sad. as ui felt Susan Ericson was the most epic narrator I uabe ever heard she really needs to start a school or something. I have never done a review of a book before but early on in this one I was so unhappy with the way it was going all I could really think about was writing this review. I truly hope thenext one in September is so much better

Historia
Melissa Craig is absolutely delighted with her new life in an old crumbling cottage, spending her days pruning the primroses and getting to know Binkie, the ginger cat next door. She only wishes she had made the move to the countryside sooner. But when a knock at the door brings news of a shocking discovery, she suddenly finds herself thrown in to the middle of a baffling mystery: the bones of a young woman have been found in the woods just behind her new home. Perhaps the little village of Upper Bembury is not as idyllic as it first seemed? Strange phone calls in the night convince Melissa that the police are barking up completely the wrong tree, so she can’t resist doing a little digging of her own. From the bingo hall to the beauty salon and beyond, her search ruffles a few feathers and uncovers many of the village’s most scandalous secrets, but gets her no closer to finding the culprit.

horrible narrator
Revisado: 09-12-19
the story was fine. I have listened to hundreds of audiobooks over the years and this narrator was the most horrible one I have ever heard. I almost didn't listen to the book. if she is narrating the rest of the series I will not purchase it

A twister, a kidnapping, and a murder - oh my! Scumble River may never be the same. For school psychologist Skye Denison, there's certainly no place like home. When a violent tornado devastates her small hometown of Scumble River, she can't see how the community will ever recover - especially since town councilman Zeke Lyons appears to have perished in the twister. But things get even worse for Skye when her police chief husband, Wally, disappears in the midst of investigating Zeke's death, and evidence arises pointing to foul play.

Horrible Narrator
Revisado: 03-17-18
I have listened to all 19 of the books in this series. I love the narrations by Christine Leto. I am not against changing narrators but this was AWFUL! I struggled just to listen to the story. I have never heard anyone read so terribly. I actually had to use the speed feature on the app to slow her down. I have over 200 titles on my app and I have never used that function. on and off during the story I really just wanted to stop listening. I am not the type of person to give reviews normally much less bad reviews but the entire time I was listening to this I kept saying I can't wait for it to be over so I can write a review. I love the storyline and the characters but if this lady continues to narrate I will not purchase another audiobook in this series. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE READING
