Historia
Alayiakal, who will one day be known by many names—not all of them flattering—has to climb the ranks of Cyador's Mirror Lancers, fighting against unforeseen weapons and ancient technology. Alayiakal, however, has secrets of his own to protect: his ties to the Great Forest and his magus abilities. He must silently pretend to be a conventional soldier favored by fate—until that very same fate forces him to choose.

This one well ..
Revisado: 04-21-25
This book was difficult to keep in line. So many names and subplots made it somewhat difficult to follow at times with so many similar sounding names and mentions, some of which seemed irrelevant. Overall the book was good just hard to keep straight and almost droning at times.

Small points to make.
Revisado: 04-10-25
I like the book and have always favored the recluse series but this book hit me a little different. first the Narrator. His characters, voices and everything were good, my complaint though is he often spoke too soft. As a somewhat hard of hear fellow at times I had to replay frequently in order to hear what was said. if I was filling a glass of water,I had to stop the book. Now for the book. while a good story as usual there were way too many questions asked by the main character to each other that were answered then refrased and answered again, then varied slightly and answered again. It's very redundant and because it happened frequently it made the book drag and made the end quite boring and lackluster. All and all still a good read (listen).

Historia
He stands between two worlds, a savior and a destroyer to both. Dragons and aegres will fall. But one can turn the tide. One who stands in the shadow of kings. Such has been seen by the doomed. The weight of ten thousand lives and all the realm besides now sits on Joran's shoulders. So much has already been sacrificed to bring him to the ancient doors of Drakanan, where he might take on the mantle of Dragon Rider and usher in a new age of heroes. But a time of dragons is not all that has been seen…

Man can this guy weave a story!
Revisado: 04-04-25
Rarely disappointed, I love his character creation, his story and delivery. My only complaint (without spoiling) is too much talking when talking shouldn't be what's happening. I know why but it makes things too easy to forsee.

Historia
For 600 years, the kingdom of Wahrheit was ruled by an unbroken line. It rose on a wave of technology and magic and stood alone—a bastion of stability built on pillars of economic and military might. The nation and her people thrived due to the strength of soldiers and the protection of dragons. But the line has ended—the king is dead. Noble houses vie to carve out their own domains. Foreign armies march across Wahrheit’s soil for the first time in memory. Without leadership, the king’s army watches helplessly.

A.C. writes a good story. This books basis didn't make much sense as far as typical customary reasons go. If you can ignore that particular part the story itself is quite entertaining and good.

Historia
Dragons Riders: The last noble warriors in the realm. Only heroes can embolden the ordinary. For centuries, millennia, the Dragon Riders galvanized generation after generation, adding Riders to their ranks and birthing dragons from their eggs. But there are no more heroes. War with the Andarens is like nothing the Riders, nor the armies of Erador, have ever faced. In the place of heroes, there are only soldiers now. Fodder for the machine of war. This time of twilight is set to be the crowning hour of the dark when the light is losing its grip.

Mr. Hamilton always seems to write a good book and Mr. Lee does a good job narrating, though he does cross over some dialects now and again. I imagine that is easy to do though when undertaking a read like this. I found the book to be enjoyable and entertaining and am curious to see where it goes from here.

It's good with a touch of annoyance.
Revisado: 06-04-22
I write these so people get an honest review even if just my opinion. I like this writer, this story and this narrator. There are times in this particular book where things are obvious and take some time to get there. A bit too much arguing with ones self or describing the surroundings to the point of veering away from the story and what is going on but if you can get past that, the story is good.
