Damn. The force is strong with this one.

This is one of the best books I've listened to in the new canon, I hope Alexander Freed and "the mouse" add further to the story of Twilight Company. If you are a fan of Star Wars books, and have been disappointed by a few of the other new canon books as I have been, give this one a shot. Finally seeing this familiar universe from the perspective of grunts on the battlefield is fascinating, and helps to not only give scope to how massive the universe they are developing is, but also gives nods to how sometimes impossibly interwoven it is.
Jonathan Davis is predictably great if you are a fan of his performances.
I hope the video game developers are considering adding Twilight Company to any of the new games, or even as a stand their own alone title itself (especially if Freed/Davis can be used for story and a voice or few).

Checked this book out solely on the recommendation Doug Stanhope gave it on his podcast, it was endlessly entertaining. Comedians are great story tellers and Burt's tales are hilarious.

hopefully responsible for a paradigm shift in how audiobooks are performed

I read this book in analog form and now hope that more people follow Doug Stanhope's example by doing an audiobook that's more a director's cut than merely the author or a stand in reading.
Hearing and in an odd way meeting the people in his stories was fascinating.
The golden pipes of Chad Shank should soon be all over audible as well.
