Loved it, book and audio!!

I LOVED this book!! I feel like I’ve been waiting YEARS for the second book to come out, ever though it’s barely been a year since I purchased this one; however, when I saw that the audiobook came out and was OVER 15hrs I couldn’t buy it fast enough. I’ve read it twice and just finished the audio. Erica Woods did an AMAZING job with the characters and the slow-burn relationship growth!! The barest hints of the past of Ash, Lucian and Jason and the past of gruff Rouark, kept me enthralled!!

If you are into a RH romance and don’t know where to start, I believe this is one of the best to begin with. If you like strong males and a heroine who wants to become more than her past, this is the book for you! If you REALLY love a slow-burn love story, push that purchase button and know you won’t regret it!!

I can’t WAIT for book two and while I hope both written and audio come out at the same time, I’ll be more than happy to just have the written book!!

Loved this as much as the Spellbound series!!

I listened to the first four books of the “Guild Codex: Spellbound” series by A.M. loving everything about it and I actually read the two book of Demonized before listening. Cris Dukehart does an amazing job at giving life to the characters, making it just as exciting listening to it as it was reading!!

Ugh, I Tried!!!

Ok, so I’m not one to give up on a book. I usually try to give it the benefit of the doubt. I’ll try to make it to AT LEAST chapter 5, cause usually that’s when the story will start to pick up and the narrator will get into their swing of things. I.......I just COULDN’T with this one 😭I wanted to get past chapter ONE, I wanted to so bad!! I just couldn’t get over the lack of variation in characters by the narrator!! I understand that the story was third person omniscient, but this narrative was poorly done. If you’re gonna have a main character be from Ireland or Scotland or ANY place with a distinguishing accent: make sure it’s done right!! I really did want to listen to the book, but maybe with a different narrator..

Storyline and Characters you fall in love with!!

This is one of my absolute FAVORITE books to listen to!! The storyline is easy to follow, the characters personality progression is clear to see and the narrators definitely gave life to their assigned persons and supporting characters!!

Love the story!! But the Male Narrator Needs Work.

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

I have loved this series since it first came out in 2013. It was a great read and I read it at least four times.....but as I listened to the audio book version I was a little let down, sorry C. L. I loved the Holly Brewer, and thought she did a fabulous job with Sang; however, Chris Ensweiler kinda ruined the boys' voices for me. While I know that the story is based in North Carolina, I honestly didn't think of some of the character's voices as southern--this is coming from a Mississippi girl.Especially Gabrielle, I kinda thought of his voice as maybe midwest or something. He's the one I'm most disappointed about. That and Kota and Luke and I believe Dr. Green all pretty much sound alike to me. Hopefully this review will shed a little light on what differences need to be adjusted!! I have to catch up on the actual books of the series before going any further in listening!!

Just as riveting as the book!!

I purchased the hard cover version of this book years ago and I loved it; but, of course, there were many words I couldn't figure out how to pronounce and that frustrated me. Not an "I hate this book" frustration, but a "I will have to just make it up in my head" frustration and I'm quite sure my imagination didn't do it justice. Now that I got a chance to hear someone who probably researched how to say these words properly, the book was even more enjoyable!! I loved the narrator's representation of each character and how she put feeling into each joke, sad feeling and other emotional situations. I'd fully and happily recommend this to other people!!
