The most egregiously condescending introduction!

This book is narrated by an expressionless robotic monotone voice that made me instantly want to run outside and connect with a real live human being. The condescending nature of the introduction could only be matched by a high school cheerleader telling a "loser kid" just how much of a loser they really are in front of everyone in the lunchroom. In tandem with the "I know a lot of things you don't know" attitude comes an infomercial-esque dangling of "for further information on what you don't know please find out how to buy that information at the end of this book", type of statement. It is so self-righteous that I could not continue to subject myself to it any longer to find this "hidden knowledge" buried deep within ....or maybe at one of the other pay links at the end of the book? Save yourself some time and go buy a Magic 8 Ball if you have questions about life or I suppose, people born in June.

I, not you, am Auguten Burroughs biggest fan and this is yet another funny, entertaining and fabulous book written by him. I thoroughly enjoyed being a spectator during this relationship journey of his. I also enjoyed having it narrated by the one person who absolutely knows where to put the emphasis in a sentence because he lived the story.
