Historia
Meghan, Brecia, and Skye have just one thing in common. They were all murdered by the same man. He hunted them online, masquerading as an eligible bachelor. Then he played the perfect gentleman, a thick layer of charm and a thousand-watt smile hiding the fact that his first dates end in shallow graves. He’s gotten away with murder three times now. The only thing that might keep him from killing again? The women he murdered. Meghan, Brecia, and Skye might be dead, but they’re not gone. They’ve found each other. And they won’t rest until they find a way to stop him. The haunt is on.

Excellent work!
Revisado: 06-02-24
While this book carried the weight of absolute devastation, it was ironically refreshing to see justice served in more ways than one. It was comforting to think that we just might be surrounded by the loved ones we’ve lost. This was so well written, I could picture myself in each scene. Excellent writing!

Britain. The near-future. Black mirror amazing!
Revisado: 02-24-24
This book offers a sobering insight into the future, with relatable real-world scenarios and solid character development. The plot's pacing is perfect, with plenty of twists and turns. All characters and plot lines are carefully wrapped up, leaving no confusion or questions. It gave me the closure I needed, sparing me an existential crisis. The attention to detail is excellent, leaving me thinking about the book's message. Especially when the latest Silicon Valley tech consumes us. Once considered "sci-fi fantasy," this book feels more relevant than ever. Although it was my first time listening to this author, I'm already hooked and excited to explore more of their work.

Great potential
Revisado: 11-30-23
I feel like I had to push through with this book. The narrators for Kate and Abby are AWFUL. Kate’s nasally voice made my skin crawl. I understand Abby is upset. But did her voice need to sound on the cusp of a panic attack with EVERY SINGLE WORD? The story could have pulled me in but it fell flat. Hard PASS

What.
Revisado: 08-27-23
I spent almost the entire booking cursing (out loud) at the mother. Also, trying to find sympathy for Noah…but I couldn’t. Whatever pity I had was a tormented guilt ridden kind.
I knew what plot twist was coming. Obvious a mile away…I just knew it. I ultimately empathized with Mom’s situation at the very end. But…I HATE the father. The only real lovable character is Noah’s little sister.

This felt rushed…
Revisado: 08-24-23
I wanted closure as much as a lot of us did. Some may have said ‘The Perfect Child’ was unrealistic but I lived some parallel experiences. And it was so validating. But this? This is unrealistic. So many routes this sequel could have taken but this is the one that was written.

I really enjoyed this book. There were so many twists and turns I really didn’t know what to expect next. At first I thought wow..this is kind of far fetched but then I was all in. All the way in. I loved the character development and how each of them had their own story that led them to this point. Excellent work.

Historia
When you listen to this audiobook, you will make many assumptions. You will assume you are listening to a story about a jealous ex-wife. You will assume she is obsessed with her replacement - a beautiful, younger woman who is about to marry the man they both love. You will assume you know the anatomy of this tangled love triangle. Assume nothing. Twisted and deliciously chilling, The Wife Between Us exposes the secret complexities of an enviable marriage - and the dangerous truths we ignore in the name of love.

Good grief.
Revisado: 06-28-23
I was enjoying the store until it became predictable. There are SO many attempts to trail after the craze of l Gone Girl Gone and Girl On the Train. We get it. The women are the masterminds or teaming up and there’s always some kind of arrogant villain of a rich man and/or cheating/abusive attempting to play white knight.

Historia
The Bell Jar chronicles the crack-up of Esther Greenwood: brilliant, beautiful, enormously talented, and successful but slowly going under - maybe for the last time. Sylvia Plath masterfully draws the reader into Esther's breakdown with such intensity that Esther's insanity becomes completely real and even rational, as probable and accessible an experience as going to the movies. Such deep penetration into the dark and harrowing corners of the psyche is an extraordinary accomplishment and has made The Bell Jar a haunting American classic.

Revisado: 05-01-23
I kept passing this book up. I finally decided to give it a go and I’m in love. This book is amazing. I’m only upset that it wasn’t longer. Sylvia’s writing style allows me to really paint the picture in my mind. And Maggie, if you could read all of my audibles to me, that’d be greeeaaat.

I felt every single word as if they were my own
Revisado: 04-25-23
Her story described what my heart and mind could never quite articulate. I related to her on SO many levels. It’s extremely difficult to find meaningful books for the forgotten grievers: siblings. This…her authenticity and raw emotion is what I’ve been searching for since my little brother passed. I am so grateful the author felt compelled to share such an intimate journey with her own sorrow. The way she described her little brother is word for word how I feel for my own. Gloria’s story captivated and caused me to pause in my tracks just to listen completely from the very beginning. I finished this feeling like I’d visited with a good friend and engaged in a deep, warm and healing conversation with whom I shared SO much in common. The way she describes her beliefs and pain leaves me with no doubt that I was meant to find this book.
