Historia
He said he was looking for a “partner in crime,” which everyone knows is shorthand for “a woman who isn’t real.” April is kind, pretty and relatively normal - yet she can’t seem to get past date five. Every time she thinks she’s found someone to trust, they reveal themselves to be awful, leaving her heartbroken. And angry. Until she realizes that men aren’t looking for real women - they’re looking for Gretel.

Another home run from Holly Bourne

I LOVE Holly Bourne's writing style. She fearlessly delves into difficult topics that everyone is afraid to talk about and proudly declares that our fear is a stupid reason to avoid these uncomfortable issues. The writing is so poignant and realistic, yet takes incredible unexpected twists and turns. This book brought me to tears especially the kickboxing classes. April's hurt and anger is palpable and I raged along with her. It is beautiful.
