The performances were great. The story and little details thrown in were enough to make it feel like there was more to making it “real” and not just accept the facts and just get through it. Even my kids were swept up in it while driving.

A fantastic wrap up to the story.

Like others have said, most of the story is that view from other characters. The battle concluded early on in the book but I really enjoyed the author wrapping the story up and telling events through other characters eyes.

I really liked this book. Neat take on the game lit styles coming out and had the two main characters actually speaking a bit more like I’d think someone would if yanked to another world. I really enjoy Mr. Podehl’s work. The ability to make very different and distinct make and female characters is amazing.

Great story and a hell of a performance.

What a neat story. Yes, it has some of the established norms but a thought the author had a great take on them. The performance was absolutely fantastic! I very much enjoyed the story, pace, action and interactions of the characters. Can’t wait for the second book.

Fantastic in a whole new way.

I always enjoy the humor/sarcasm that Mr. Alanson uses and is delivered perfectly by Mr. Bray! The story is fantastic and does a great job of building the story and sucking you into this new world. I do hope there’s a follow up book soon.

Soooo much fun!

I live off audiobooks. I have a hell of a commute and they keep me sane. I say this because this is the first time I’ve been compelled to leave a review. The story is entertaining and fluid. The narrator is fantastic! He gives such wonderful inflection to how the conversations go and outbursts from the characters. There is action, humor and understandable personal reflection from the main character.
I normally stick to my allotment of credits for the month but I had to pick up some more to get the next books right away. I thoroughly enjoyed this book!
