I know it’s supposed to be light, she’s not the grey Man, but come on. I couldn’t stand Emma by the end of the book. Hard to get through and ridiculous plot.

Please don’t put topics in your books that you know nothing about. The riding parts were unbearable, “she flicked her reins and yelled yah” to chase after a Tesla on horseback - the author has watched one too many old westerns. Storyline was ok but the writing was amateurish

Not what I excepted

Storyline was good but the kids voices were too much-it’s painful to listen to a narrator talk like a baby. And the attack on Jackie Mars was uncalled for - she gives a lot of her money to support horses and riders in 3 day Eventing, including members of the US Olympic team. Grouping her in with the wealthy “bad guys” in this book was completely wrong.

Second half ruined the book

I liked it until the flashback. After that the main character became unbearable. She blames everyone else for her mistakes and really lacks common sense even though she claims to have a heightened sense of awareness due to her professions. The main character feeling sorry for herself and blaming others for her mistakes made it hard to finish. Save your credit

Really wasn’t a fan of this book. I hated the main character and it was so predictable. I kept listening hoping I was wrong but nope. I can’t understand how people liked this one.

Great characters - except Ari

I love almost all of the characters in this book. I can’t stand Ari though, she makes this book seem part young adult or Nancy Drew. And the “perfect daughter” hyperbole is too much. A little predictable and overly dramatic but funny and light.

Cringe worthy

It’s ridiculous how perfect the main character thinks her husband is and that she doesn’t realize how messed up the situation is. She seriously thinks he’s a saint for making his disabled ex wife live on the same property with him and his new wife. The main character is incredibly stupid. It defies logic. I can’t take hearing about the perfect, thoughtful, poor Wells anymore.

Main character was mean, bossy, full of herself and could “sense evil”? Her attitude wasn’t even justified because she missed so much and was wrong A LOT. Strong characters are great, rude and superior characters who aren’t great detectives-just why???

If only Andie wasn’t part of the story…

It’s kind of insulting how shallow and stupid Andie and the network think the “viewers” are. Who would watch a show where they cover murals on the ceiling in a Newport mansion with shiplap? I’ve been to those mansions and the most interesting part is the old architecture and what the lives of the people who lived there were like. What’s wrong with wanting to know about the people who lived in the mansions? It doesn’t detract from the beauty of the mansions. Just insulting and unrealistic. I would skip this one.
