Historia
When Elon Musk was a kid in South Africa, he was regularly beaten by bullies. One day a group pushed him down some concrete steps and kicked him until his face was a swollen ball of flesh. He was in the hospital for a week. But the physical scars were minor compared to the emotional ones inflicted by his father, an engineer, rogue, and charismatic fantasist.

A well-rounded individual, with lots of good and bad traits. Beautiful in how it seems that his personality traits, the good and bad, did not really change with his success. Those who attempted to get him to conform, according to this book, are the same types that once they gain control through diligence, seize it, and suppress others in their attempt to innovative. If those tyrants that ran Twitter, now called X, for example, took the same approach Elon did, there would be hundreds and thousands of Elon's out there, all competing for a shot to make it to the Stars.

Historia
The Second World Wars examines how combat unfolded in the air, at sea, and on land to show how distinct conflicts among disparate combatants coalesced into one interconnected global war. Drawing on 3,000 years of military history, Victor Davis Hanson argues that despite its novel industrial barbarity, neither the war's origins nor its geography were unusual. Nor was its ultimate outcome surprising. The Axis powers were well prepared to win limited border conflicts, but once they blundered into global war, they had no hope of victory.

Historia
Unfreedom of the Press is not just another book about the press. [Levin] shows how those entrusted with news reporting today are destroying freedom of the press from within - not through actions of government officials, but with its own abandonment of reportorial integrity and objective journalism. With the depth of historical background for which his books are renowned, Levin takes you on a journey through the early American patriot press, which proudly promoted the principles set forth in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution.

Historia
Over the course of his life, James Madison changed the United States three times: First, he designed the Constitution, led the struggle for its adoption and ratification, then drafted the Bill of Rights. As an older, cannier politician, he cofounded the original Republican party, setting the course of American political partisanship. Finally, having pioneered a foreign policy based on economic sanctions, he took the United States into a high-risk conflict, becoming the first wartime president and, despite the odds, winning.

Interesting take on one of the founding fathers.
Revisado: 08-01-18
Definitely a well written and narrated work. Both authors did their homework and I hope to see more of this style of historical reflection geared toward other framers and founders by both of these men.
Based on what was presented, however, and this is just one man's opinion, just because Madison applied his executive authority in a manner that promoted his executive position compared to when he was first constructing the Constitution does not definitively imply that he would have argued the founding document should "evolve" with the time. People evolve, but the founding documents, which were constructed to establish a Union, would have never been agreed upon had the authors conclusion of Madison's been his own. Madison was doing his best, as President, to interpret his understanding of executive authority based on constitutional principles, not actively arguing to undermine it at the end.
Seems to me that the conclusion by the authors of this well-constructed work either deliberately or ignorantly promoted modern progressive ideology in their belief that the Constitution "evolves" with the times. Sure there are ways to modify it, but one must get to the root of the language used at the time in which it was ratified to truly understand it and not conclude that it is "living and breathing" as Wilson and the modern left so do today.

Nazis and Japanese win WWII.
Revisado: 02-28-18
WWII ended and the Allies lost. Totalitarian regimes now rule and "efficiency" replaced liberty.
In this look at alternate history, the Nazis and Japanese have divided the world after their victory over an unprepared West. The story is discussed the life of many individuals connected to one another through an outlawed fictional novel called, The Grasshopper. The Grasshopper presents a look for those in the story of The Man in the High Castle an alternate history as well, but this time where the West is victorious.
The chain of events that unfold in The Man in the High Castle are tragic, but give a realistic look at a contemporary world ran by oppression. WMDs are available and used as a means to destroy, not protect. God is replaced by science and an Easten form of paganism. In the end, the book just leads to a conclusion of more questions about our own future.
Comparing the book to the Amazon series, there are so many differences in character personalities, it's almost impossible to list all of them. It is like the producers of the Amazon series heard the idea of the book and made up their own version.

‘It was a sweet finish after the bitter pills of floggings and bullets with which these same governments, just at that time, dosed the German working-class risings’. What is "the big lie" of the Democratic Party? That conservatives - and President Donald Trump in particular - are fascists. Nazis, even. In a typical comment, MSNBC host Rachel Maddow says the Trump era is reminiscent of "what it was like when Hitler first became chancellor." But in fact, this audacious lie is a complete inversion of the truth. Yes, there is a fascist threat in America - but that threat is from the Left and the Democratic Party.

Historia
In Rediscovering Americanism, Mark R. Levin revisits the founders' warnings about the perils of overreach by the federal government and concludes that the men who created our country would be outraged and disappointed to see where we've ended up. Levin returns to the impassioned question he's explored in each of his best-selling books: How do we save our exceptional country? Because our values are in such a precarious state, he argues that a restoration to the essential truths on which our country was founded has never been more urgent.
