Unexpected Entertainment

Okay, take original Star Terk, a soup opera and sprinkle in a bit of Guardians of the galaxy with time/space shenanigans and that's book one. Very amusing, light listen. Book two and half of three slows down a bit but not enough to stop. Worth hearing it out and seeing how the characters progress. It has a good ending. I wouldn't call it the best of books but I did find it enjoyable and the characters are stage-play over-the-top nonsense you can visualize as if it were a play. Just the right amount of dumb humor to not be off-putting. It doesn't take itself too seriously. Better than I would have expected. Steve is the best character in the book. The multiversity need a lot more Steve. Yes, listen for Steve if nothing else.

This is one of my favorite books from this series.

If you are looking for action, humor, magic and a wild ride then this is the book for you! You dont have to have read the other books in the series for this book (it does a good job introducing them throughout the book) it's always more fun to have revisit old epic characters again. Can't go wrong with the Knights, Kincaid, Ivy and the nickleheads duking it out in the Shedd aquarium. This book is always top on my relisten list.
This book sets up a lot of things for later down the road in the series and it does it in true epic fashion!
James Marsters is amazing with the voice acting in this book! He really makes the characters come alive! (Just note if you start this series from the begining his preformance is not as good in the first few books as it seems to have taken him a bit to get a feel for all the characters.)
