Historia
Most of us have heard of gluten - a protein found in wheat that causes widespread inflammation in the body. Americans spend billions of dollars on gluten-free diets in an effort to protect their health. But what if we’ve been missing the root of the problem? In The Plant Paradox, renowned cardiologist Dr. Steven Gundry reveals that gluten is just one variety of a common, and highly toxic, plant-based protein called lectin.

Mind blown!
Revisado: 02-08-20
I have always been hyper sensitive to the side affects of food and medications so I have eaten “healthy” pretty much all my life only to find as I’ve gotten older an increasing amount of health issues. I’ve been frustrated time and time again with doctors telling me that my blood work is great or my body is “resetting” itself, yet my hair keeps falling out in clumps, my hands and feet are SO COLD all the time it hurts, I was getting my period every 2 weeks for years (and it was not light). This book is the first time I feel like the cause is laid out for me and I have only to follow his directions to find relief and fix myself finally!!! Thank you Dr. Gundry!!!

I was pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed listening to this book. I don’t want to give away anything, but I was surprised along the way, a bit freaked out at parts as well. I have to say I hope more people read it/listen to it just to start conversations about this thought provoking book.

Historia
On The Power of Vulnerability, Dr. Brown offers an invitation and a promise - that when we dare to drop the armor that protects us from feeling vulnerable, we open ourselves to the experiences that bring purpose and meaning to our lives. Here she dispels the cultural myth that vulnerability is weakness and reveals that it is, in truth, our most accurate measure of courage.

This book resonated with me so much! I liked the teaching format only missed seeing some of the facial expressions, but used it as an exercise for me to imagine & act them out (play🤪). I recommend this to anyone who struggles with vulnerability in any aspect of your life.
