Historia
When Magnolia Steele started digging into her father's disappearance, she had no idea she'd find so much dirt. The secrets she unearthed have changed the official story of what happened to him. Everyone other than her now believes that he embezzled from a client with the help of several accomplices, one of whom got greedy and killed the rest, but Magnolia's convinced there's more to it. She finds plenty of conflicting evidence, including startling links between several recent deaths and her father's past.

Historia
For as long as Magnolia Steele can remember, the past has had its hooks in her. Her time as a Broadway actress in New York City was an escape that ended in public humiliation, but now that she's back home in Franklin, Tennessee, she's feeling the grip of the two incidents that stole her innocence. The first was the disappearance of her father when she was a teen, who left home for a meeting and never came back. The other incident...well, her memories have returned, but it's best left where it belongs - in the past.

What did you like best about Act Two? What did you like least?
The storyline was fun, and I liked the characters, but the narrator's faux southern accents were atrocious.

Historia
Scotland Yard’s new chief inspector Nicholas Drummond is on the first flight to New York when he learns his colleague, Elaine York, the "minder" of the Crown Jewels for the "Jewel of the Lion" exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, was found murdered. Then the centerpiece of the exhibit, the infamous Koh-i-Noor Diamond, is stolen from the Queen Mother’s crown. Drummond, American-born but raised in the UK, is a dark, dangerous, fast-rising star in the Yard who never backs down. And this case is no exception.

I don't get the great reviews for this.
Revisado: 09-15-15
What would have made The Final Cut better?
Dialogue was lazy, plot was fair, but I couldn't get past the JUNIOR HIGH NARRATORS.
What was most disappointing about Catherine Coulter and J. T. Ellison ’s story?
I usually enjoy Coulter's books, but this one was sub-par at best.
Would you be willing to try another one of Renee Raudman and MacLeod Andrews ’s performances?
ABSOLUTELY NOT.
Any additional comments?
Seriously some of the worst narration I've heard from audible. The fake accents from the woman were just embarrassing, plus the breathless way she read was more suited to a cheap romance novel. And, REALLY, AUDIBLE, REALLY???? Why doesn't anyone catch it when the narrator pronounces "forte" like "fort" instead of the correct "for-tay"??? Rookie mistake, but only one of many.

Historia
Freshly minted FBI agent Nicholas Drummond is barely out of his Quantico training when he and his partner, Mike Caine, are called to investigate a stabbing on Wall Street. Their investigation, however, yields more questions than answers. It quickly becomes clear that the victim, John Pearce, was more than the naval historian and antiquities dealer he appeared to be.

Stilted, cliche dialogue.
Revisado: 04-13-15
Would you be willing to try another book from Catherine Coulter and J. T. Ellison ? Why or why not?
I like Catherine Coulter's books fine, but this one did not live up to her previous ones.
Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Renee Raudman and MacLeod Andrews ?
Andrews was great, but the female was ANNOYING. I spent the first two hours trying to figure out if you had a real lisp or it was affectation.
Any additional comments?
The dialogue was so completely cheesy and unbelievable. The story was not bad, but I expected much better from Coulter.

Everywhere I look, my friends are settling down - marriage, children, white picket fences; but not me. Marriage isn't in the cards for me. I'm a ladies man. A rock star. I was born and raised in the industry. I love everything about my life, especially the attention from the women that my status brings me. Women find me. I don't chase. Worst. Narration. Ever.
Revisado: 03-02-15
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
Different narrators. These two were so HORRIBLE that I don't know if the book could have been even a 3 star read if I had just read it, or if it had better narrators. I haven't listened to the whole thing, and I don't know how much more I can take.
What do you think your next listen will be?
Nothing with these narrators. The first two books in this series were fun, but this one is an unmitigated disaster.
Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Joshua Story and Adrian Cox ?
My dog. He would have sounded more believable. If I could have figured out how to make this a zero star review I would have done so.
If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Finding My Forever?
The editing left this book sounding like a high school girl. The production quality was very poor, with obvious splices made.
Any additional comments?
I seldom write reviews, and this is the first time I have had such a completely NEGATIVE response, but I wanted to save someone else from wasting their money and time on this.

Am I the only one who wanted to groan?
Revisado: 10-17-14
Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?
It was very average to me. It kept my attention, but I wouldn't listen to it again.
Would you recommend The Poet to your friends? Why or why not?
No. I appear to be alone in my complete dislike for the protagonist, but every single time he discussed his feelings toward Rachel, or had any interaction with her, I wanted to deck him. He was RIDICULOUS and acted like a teenage girl. Blegh.
Do you think The Poet needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?
No way. The main character was such a dud to me I would never listen to another about him.

Historia
The Profiler's Daughter is a psychologically haunting thriller that combines murder mystery, love triangle, and family intrigue in one satisfying page burner. Sky Stone was born into the wealth and privilege of Boston's oldest Brahmin family but chooses instead to follow in the footsteps of her deceased father, legendary FBI profiler Monk Stone. In the chilly morning hours before the Boston Marathon, when a beautiful university student is found strangled and mutilated, her body left at the base of Heartbreak Hill, Sky returns from self-imposed exile to investigate.

The story was pretty good, but the narrator was over the top with every single line she read.

Revisado: 05-14-13
If you could sum up The Good House in three words, what would they be?
Perfect for driving!
What was one of the most memorable moments of The Good House?
Hildy's snarky side comments while she's doing "readings" of people are FABULOUS!
Have you listened to any of Mary Beth Hurt’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Historia
Catherine has been enjoying the single life for long enough to know a good catch when she sees one. Gorgeous, charismatic, spontaneous – Lee seems almost too perfect to be true. And her friends clearly agree, as each in turn falls under his spell. But there is a darker side to Lee. His erratic, controlling and sometimes frightening behaviour means that Catherine is increasingly isolated. Driven into the darkest corner of her world, and trusting no one, she plans a meticulous escape.
