Huge fan of the series for years

Going back through the series, I found this one particularly difficult to follow. Lots of unknown characters and difficult to follow plots within plots. I found it hard to keep up with unless you have a very good mind for characters. Sure it deserves another try!

What a ride this story has been. From savage wars all the way through season one and two we've been with it. Loved the call backs to prior characters and just the action sequences are fun and tense. I will say I was a bit let down how built up some characters were to be snuffed out real quick, but gotta tie up loose ends somehow. It''s a great bow on a beautiful present that you offered us over the course of the story and we loved it. Thanks

skippy is...meh

I like the banter, but good God it gets a little monotonous after hearing the same thing from skippy over and over. Also, give the guy some humility please, as Joe is apparently the only one who comes up with brilliant ideas lately. It's an overused mechanic already and I feel like skippy should grow some and realize that the monkeys are not as dumb.... Also, how the hell does everyman Joe just know the mechanics of the quantum in parts of the book. I call BS. Hands down I'm intrigued enough. There is a lot of setup for unanswered questions.... but I'm getting bored of the crap talking AI already.

There we were, innocently drifting along the cosmos on our little blue marble, like the native Americans in 1492. Over the horizon come ships of a technologically advanced, aggressive culture, and BAM! There go the good old days, when humans only got killed by each other. So, Columbus Day. It fits. When the morning sky twinkled again, this time with Kristang starships jumping in to hammer the Ruhar, we thought we were saved.

Story Aside, if RC Bray reads to me, I'm down. It doesn't hurt if the book is actually good. Story takes a hard right turn about mid way through. Had me laughing out loud in my car at some parts. Very fun!

Massive planetary battles and Ship to ship combat on this one. So much action. Truly an awesome read. Stephen Lang was great. I feel like his narration changed in the middle for some reason like he took a large break and came back and forgot the tone he had originally had, but other than that it was perfect!

RC Bray has an amazing performance on this non stop action, Galaxy wide adventure. Jason and Nick have both scratched that sci-fi itch I've had since watching Star wars as a kid. Characters are awesome and you really feel for them. A must read!
