A Delightful, Laugh-Out-Loud Romance with a Dash of Heart

This book delivers everything you could want in a rom-com—sharp banter, sizzling chemistry, and an opposites-attract romance that keeps you turning the pages. Randi Burnett, a professional bridesmaid-for-hire, is sunshine personified, while Will Valentine, a grumpy and skeptical best man, is her perfect foil. Their dynamic is both hilarious and heartwarming, filled with witty sparring, undeniable attraction, and unexpected emotional depth.

The premise itself is fresh and fun, offering plenty of comedic moments, from wedding day disasters to undercover hijinks. Randi’s profession adds an entertaining twist, and Will’s reluctant participation in wedding festivities makes for some fantastic tension. Watching Will, a man who doesn’t believe in love, slowly fall for the hopelessly romantic Randi is pure rom-com gold.

While the romance is engaging and the humor spot-on, the story does have a few predictable beats, and some conflicts could have been explored further to add more emotional weight. However, the sparkling dialogue and undeniable chemistry between Randi and Will more than make up for it.

She was, after all, the only woman he's ever loved.

Ephie and Remy have a lot of catching up to do, but they may not get the chance when a real threat comes to Nocturne Falls. Suddenly, Ephie's life hangs in the balance and Remy must make a decision. Even if it means breaking his own heart again.

I really love Nocturne Falls! I wish I could live there! This is another great book in the Nocturne Falls Series. I love all the characters. This book is no exception. Ephie and Remy have been in love for so long, it's great to see them find their way back to one another. Kristen Painter is a great writter and I love all her books! If you love fun and a great series to just sit back and listen to, then look no further! Another great book!

"This book is pure entertainment from start to finish! The chemistry between the reluctant royal and rule-breaking Peach Maloney is off-the-charts hilarious, making this ‘marriage of inconvenience’ one of the funniest romances I’ve read in a while. From their witty banter to laugh-out-loud moments that kept me grinning, this story hits all the right notes.

Peach is a true firecracker, and watching her clash with our reluctant monarch is pure magic. I loved the clever twists and heartfelt moments, proving that even the most unlikely pair can become the perfect match. I’ll definitely be coming back to this one for a feel-good, laugh-filled escape. Highly recommend for anyone who loves a quirky, opposites-attract romance with a royal twist!"

Lexi, however, sees beyond his past. She sees him for who he is now. And who he could become. The only problem is saving this handsome mountain of a man will take more magic than she has. In fact, it’ll take all the magic she can get her hands on. Seems a small price to pay for his company, however.

She vows to help him if he’ll help her in return, something he’s glad to do. But he has his own issues to deal with. As do most people in town. Like Amelia Marchand, the witch who created Shadowvale. Will Lexi be able to help Amelia and her new friend while securing the magic she desperately wants? Because a life without magic won’t be any kind of life at all. Unless love turns out to be all the magic she needs…

I would have never guessed that Edgar Hyde would have gotten a book. Not sure why I didn't think of it but I just didn't. So imagine my suprise! This book was so interesting, I believe that this is my favorite Shadowvale book yet. Not only did we get Lexi and Edgar's story but we also learned more about Amelia Marchand. If you haven't read this series then you are truly missing out on this special place. Kristen Painter continues to keep me on the edge of my seat! Do yourself a favor and get to reading this series!
