Historia
Will Guidara was twenty-six when he took the helm of Eleven Madison Park, a struggling two-star brasserie that had never quite lived up to its majestic room. Eleven years later, EMP was named the best restaurant in the world. How did Guidara pull off this unprecedented transformation? Radical reinvention, a true partnership between the kitchen and the dining room—and memorable, over-the-top, bespoke hospitality.

Historia
Power is changing. Private corner offices and management by decree are out, as is unquestioned trust in the government and media. These former pillars of traditional power have been replaced by networks of informed citizens who collectively wield more power over their personal lives, employers, and worlds than ever before. So how do you navigate this new landscape and come out on top? Adam Grant, Wharton organizational psychologist, went to the World Economic Forum in Davos, the epicenter of power, and sat down with thought leaders from around the world, to find out.

Historia
After decades of research, world-renowned Stanford University psychologist Carol S. Dweck discovered a simple but groundbreaking idea: the power of mindset. In this brilliant book, she describes how success in school, work, sports, the arts, and almost every area of human endeavor can be dramatically influenced by how we think about our talents and abilities. In this edition, Dweck offers new insights into her now famous and broadly embraced concept. She introduces a phenomenon she calls false growth mindset and guides people toward adopting a deeper, truer growth mindset.

Enjoyed
Revisado: 05-10-23
I appreciate the way the mindset is described in different contexts of life and relationships. I believe it gives you a way to identify the ways or places in your life where the mindset shows up.

Historia
Stephen R. Covey's book, The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, has been a top seller for the simple reason that it ignores trends and pop psychology for proven principles of fairness, integrity, honesty, and human dignity. Celebrating its 15th year of helping people solve personal and professional problems, this special anniversary edition includes a new foreword and afterword written by Covey that explore whether the 7 Habits are still relevant and answer some of the most common questions he has received over the past 15 years.

Love this book
Revisado: 02-04-20
I have the book and decided to purchase the audio version as a refresher. It comes with a PDF that is a summary of the book’s highlights. There is also a follow-up to most common questions that have been asked since the original book was published. Although still outdated for 2020, the follow up emphasized which habits to reflect on as well as subsequent books written to go more in depth into specific habits.
The only reason I didn’t give it five stars is because of the way the book was broken into chapters. Since I was using it as a refresher, listening to the habits out of order was challenging trying to find the spot I was looking for.
