I enjoy detective fiction and this is a very good one. I shall now seek out the others in the series as I liked the story and characters. The voices were well done in the opinion of someone who is not Ireland born.

I was looking for a book that might improve marital relations with my husband by helping me deal with my inhibitions. What I found was a book that told me that, because I'm a monogamous heterosexual person, I'm part of the problem of why so many women don't have orgasms. Thank you - that doesn't help. The reader was good, but due to the message, I couldn't get very far into the book and really should have previewed it before buying. I did listen long enough that, if the author was going to float a balancing argument, where a marriage like mine is a good thing, I should have heard a hint of it. I don't need a book like this - what I need is a book that celebrates traditional marriage & can give advice as to how a husband and wife can really steam up those bedroom windows - together.

I really enjoy Miles Vorkosigan novels, and I loved this one. Miles is a twisty little so-and-so, which is very true to form for him. An added delight was that Miles is about to become a father and impending parenting is a theme twined throughout this story - great timing as I am just starting to go public about my own pregnancy. A fun listen for Miles fans - but with enough references to events in older books that new listeners would benefit from listening to the earlier books first (for maximum enjoyment).
