Need a break
Revisado: 07-25-24
The new character development is irritating and changes the balance. Need to take a break and read a new series. Hopefully it gets back to the old flow later on. But for now it to frustrating so I’m taking a break

Good narration
Revisado: 03-30-24
I like the first series but this one gets old. It’s the same over and over. Gets boring and repetitive. Her sister is a brat who can’t see that she is doing everything to protect them. Haven’t got to the end but hopefully she and kieva get what they deserve.

Decent story, great narration
Revisado: 01-27-24
This so far has been a good story but I get tired of these stories where the main characters are stupid spoiled brats. I would have rated higher if not for that. He kept putting people in danger just because of his selfishness.

Redeemed
Revisado: 09-30-23
Terry somewhat redeemed this book for me throughout the middle and end. His “passionate lovemaking” evenings or mornings where somewhat predictable and over used. It kinda of lends to some lazy writing by using a common tactic. I did extremely appreciate the fact that he did not go into graphic content. There are some spots that seems to skip over thoughts in the storyline that would have been really interesting if he would have explored them. Instead they just leave holes in the story line.

One of the worst storylines I have heard
Revisado: 03-27-23
I really wanted to give a good review, but once again the narriation was not good. The story line was terrible. We are expected that a killer of all the kings has honor, aswell as everyone over look his evil and join him. Then for cleave and his friends to throw their honor away by joining him. Just dumb. “It ok that I killed uou father because I will have saved your grandkids” so, unbelievable

With a place in a king's plot, a princess who wants to marry him, and the companionship of a brash Sartious mage, Cleve learns that--while some battles are won with a sword - others are played out through a more delicate dance. Good story-bad narration
Revisado: 03-17-23
I enjoyed the story which is the only reason I made it through. The narration was not very good though. It is quite mechanical. It is hard enough when narrators are changes mid series, and to go down in quality like this, is even harder. Unfortunately, I didn’t have the option to read the book due to listening to the stories while I work. I hope the next books are narrated by another voice.

Confusing/frustrating
Revisado: 03-26-20
The story line and background was confusing. And was left with huge holes. The characters with “honor” were ok defending horrible people. Their “duty” was to accept all the debauchery in immoral aptitude’s of the leaders. The moral compasses of characters were always changing. The only reason I continued to listen was hope it would get better and to refuse to accept I wasted money on it.

Poor character development
Revisado: 03-24-19
Don’t waste your time. The story lines don’t make allot of sense at times. Several actions and consequences are not very realistic even for the fantasy world.

Frustrating character and storyline.
Revisado: 11-12-17
Don't waste your time!! At least once per book you will want to quite. I kept thinking this story would redeem itself but so far it has not. It's the same story over and over and over. I have read and listened to hundreds of fantasy and sci-fi books and this is the first one I could not finish, so that should tell you allot.
