Lovely story well written

I enjoyed the story a lot. The characters were all very real at times and then at other times they were bigger than life. There was a lot of story structure that, while successfully imitating life also brought humor to the story. I’m hoping that we get to marry off the other brothers and their sister.

Beautiful language suspense and more

I worried and worried how things would turn out and it was fun and full of love. I think I just fell in love with a new author.

We loved the twists and turns and even when we guessed right we were wrong. Fun. Coupled with a little dark humor that you better listen for… because you wouldn’t want to miss it.

I enjoy books that make you believe they occurred for real and I don’t know that this one didn’t. See? That’s where the fun occurs. There’s just enough truth to leave you wondering. So this is a refreshing change from all the repetitious police procedurals because of it’s originality. The performance was outstanding. I admit that listening to a book with a lot of characters as this book had is very difficult to keep up with at times and is the only thing I perhaps wished were different. I’m disappointed in myself when I don’t keep up as well as I should. I look forward to the next one.

The story was good. It was a bit different starting with a proxy marriage. Heath and Cecila struggle to find their love and relationship. And the awesome thing is that we get more story in lieu of erotica. I really am enjoying this author.

On edge throughout…!

I really enjoyed the story even though I needed help relaxing after listening each evening. You cannot help worrying about our main characters. Mitch is clever and you want him to be clever enough to get out of trouble. Scott Brick is a really good narrator and the listener that has ever heard his work before, knows the narrator will not take away from the story. The only downside were the large numbers of characters and author’s tendency to use a last name for 10 chapters and then refer to the character by his first name in the 11th chapter. That’s really confusing when you are listening to a book but then I could have read the book visually so the problem is actually mine. Grisham hasn’t disappointed me yet. I loved the book.

Clean and stressful romance

I loved that I didn’t have to hear a play by play bedroom scenes. The writer had to actually write and it was original in some ways. Like able characters and foreshadowing of the next romances.

Funny and Good Mystery

Delightful mystery and look into the English countryside. Cleaver dialogue that left me smiling. I’m looking forward to the next book in the series.

Second read- still good

I liked all the set-up of the future world. I’m fascinated by the Set-up and I’m reminded of what an awesome narrator Anna Fields is and it was a treat to listen to her narrate a book I already expected to enjoy.
