My favorite in this authors Collection

A must read, especially if you read the previous NYC based series. it’s one of the most accurate portrayals of an apocalypse with zombies (eg finally someone acknowledges the smell!)

I normally like Peter Swanson books but found this one fairly boring. The reveal/twist was different and surprisingly but not satisfactory and then the story just puttered.

I listened to this on one sitting. If you like other books by this author, you’ll find this a reliable, compelling read. The title doesn’t evoke what the story is really about: a murder and multiple people in a family who are involved.

The story is okay; took a while to get into but finished stronger than expected. The narrator says uh-GAIN for “again” and due to not great writing that word appears every few sentences. “Been” and “against” are also said weirdly; really felt like nails on a chalkboard!
