if you've read one Lean Startup book, you've read them all #IMHO. The ideas and presentation are fine. There's just not much that's new about it. Same ideas, different context Then again, I suppose that's also the nature of innovation in a way isn't it?

Fascinating perspective on the forces reshaping an industry once controlled by a few megaholding companies - and in turn, reshaping consumerism as we know it.

This would be better as a $4.99 workbook. I could summarize all the useful tips in the space of this review but that doesn't seem fair to the author.

This is a helpful how-to for anyone who has come of age in the contemporaneous attention-scarce world we live in but for me, there was little new for me to apply to my work life. perhaps I am an exception. more likely this book is better for someone earlier in their career.

Sometimes it's good to mix things up a little bit. And scene.

This felt like a story that could have been better told in a shorter form Fast Company article. I found it more entertaining than insightful. In analytics, one of the best methods for avoiding a local optimization trap and to find a better global optimum is to introduce a little randomness into your equation, and so it is with life. This is a book of those illustrative examples from life.

Content? It's about connections

I suspect the publisher chose the name for this book. Sure, the author talks some about content but the book is really about connections: social connections that spread ideas and contribute to network effects, product connections that contribute to the whole offering described by Geoffrey Moore and give consumers a compelling reason to buy, and functional connections which are the hallmark of good strategy. Each type of connection has been covered separately in more depth in other books like Good Strategy, Bad Strategy. This book is more of a compilation and the author does a good job connecting the dots and applying them to the digital context.

Sheds a new light on all the romanticized Hollywood portrayals of the Prohibition era and provides a valuable perspective on what really happened during an important chapter of our nation's history.

I haven't enjoyed a book this much since first reading Brian Greene or perhaps Bill Bryson's Short History. Expansive in his reach and ambitious in his treatment, I was impressed by how well the author tied everything together so elegantly. Enthusiastically recommended.
