Filled with stereotypes. I found myself feeling uncomfortable with the author's assertions, in particular about the character of young boys and how to deal with it. At one point I was listening to the book while working in the kitchen. My husband walked in and said, "What the heck are you listening to?" He also did not agree. So, overall, too many stereotypes that may be unhelpful (and even hurtful) to assist parents in dealing with the complexities and nuances of today's generation.

Would you try another book from Courtney Reissig and/or Elizabeth Whitestone?

Seemed to rehash many of the typical 'conservative evangelical' (whatever that means anymore) viewpoints without much real depth. I was expecting more original or nuanced thoughts.

What made the experience of listening to Let It Go the most enjoyable?

It is easy to forget how far we have come as a society, both in dealing with women's issues and in how we care for individuals with disabilities. Shirley describes her journey through both as a female entrepreneur and parent of a child with severe autism. She is surprisingly transparent about her experiences. That level of honesty is quite captivating.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

The beginning of the story was gripping, as Shirley described her early life as a child as a member of the Kindertransport program and the rejection by her mother, as well as the starting of her business.

Any additional comments?

As the book went on, it became slightly long and main themes were repeated over an over. Although I understood Shirley's feelings of betrayal by some of her colleagues, it made for a less interesting and inspiring experience as the story went on. It could have done with a little bit more editing, as there were clearly times where she re-read sentences of the book because of a fumble, and the duplicates should have been edited out but were somehow missed.

Great Listening Experience

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Listener's Bible?

The ambient music in the background adds quite a bit to the listening experience. The only way I can think to describe it is "easy on the ears". :)

It would be helpful if the chapters were named with the books of the bible. The way they are listed now are "Chapter 1" versus "Genesis". If you want to skip ahead and listen to a different section it is difficult to find it.
