The horror behind serial killers
Revisado: 07-26-24
The story was creepy to say the least. Getting into the mind of a sociopath can’t be easy.

Scarily Prescient
Revisado: 09-24-23
Being the actual Secretary of State, after reading this, one has to wonder how accurate it is. With that little bit of uncertainty makes this a scary read. Fun because you can tell yourself it’s all untrue, but there’s still that little voice in the corner of your mind saying, “But what if…”

This Story in Clark's fine series could have Used a Caution, that it contains a deeply shocking murder scene.

Always an Exciting Read
Revisado: 11-08-21
Ms. Clark knows how to write characters you love to wish ill upon. And the whodunnit always surprises me. Her pacing is excellent and keeps the reader engaged. I’ve never felt “Oh, come on! Just get on with it!” or “I can’t take the stress anymore.” and stop reading. I’ve read both kinds. Hers is the perfect blend.
I’m making my way through the Carolina Slade books and am just so excited to start the next one. One more to go.
Thank you, Hope, for writing characters we love and those not so much.
