Historia
First celebrated for her voice, she became one of the most talked-about women in the world, whether for music and fashion, her relationship struggles, or as a walking blonde joke. But now, instead of being talked about, Jessica is doing the talking. Her audiobook shares the wisdom and inspirations she’s learned and shows the real woman behind all the pop-culture clichés. Open Book is an opportunity to laugh and cry with a close friend, one that will inspire you to live your best, most authentic life, now that she is finally living hers.

The humanization of Jessica Simpson
Revisado: 03-02-20
I want to start this by saying, I am guilty of buying this book for all the tea that was going to be spilt. And honestly I was pleasantly shocked how it really wasn’t. I have a brand new respect for Jessica Simpson now because I am guilty, like many others who read/listened to this book, of judging her and thinking she was just an airhead. Her life story thus far completely broke my heart and also made me laugh. I was so embarrassed by not thinking of her as a normal person like us. The hateful comments and judgement she endured throughout her life when she just wanted to use her voice for good was so terrible. When she talked about her good deeds, it felt so genuine. Trading her car for a van. Who else does that?! She could’ve kept it and bought one but no she didn’t need it and used it for good. She’s done so much. The delicate relationship she has with herself. I’m not religious but I pray she sees how tenacious and resilient she is. I could hear the emotions in her voice as she recounted points in her life. This was such an incredible and intimate peek into her life.

Historia
Tiffany can't avoid being funny: it's just who she is. But The Last Black Unicorn is so much more than a side-splittingly hilarious collection of essays - it's a memoir of the struggles of one woman who came from nothing and nowhere. A woman who was able to achieve her dreams by reveling in her pain and awkwardness, showing the world who she really is, and inspiring others through the power of laughter.

Incredible
Revisado: 03-02-18
I have no words to do this autobiography justice. Tiffany Haddish has had my heart for a while now, but this book branded my heart. Her journey is heart breaking and inspiring. She was not going to be a victim of circumstance. She prevailed. I laughed, I teared up, and I got mad as hell. If you listen to just one audiobook this year, make it this one.

Historia
It is enough to break any man: watching what could have been my future slip away before it was ever in my grasp. The possibility of losing someone I loved before she was even mine is something I never would have imagined. Certainly nothing I'd ever wish on anyone. I go to her every day and wait. Wait for the impossible, for a sign, for her to look at me...hoping that sinners are granted miracles, too.

Nails on a chalkboard
Revisado: 07-02-16
Avery's voice is the absolute worst. So annoying and high pitched. Not to mention the male impersonations sounded like 80 year old men and not the 20 somethings they were supposed to be.

About three things I was certain. First, Edward was a vampire. Second, there was a part of him, and I didn't know how dominant that part might be, that thirsted for my blood. And third, I was unconditionally and irrevocably in love with him.

How I wish the Bella who was portrayed in the movie was this lively! Love listening to the narrator. She's exactly how I pictured Bella's responses and dialog would be.

Beck is everything Joe has ever wanted: she's gorgeous, tough, razor-smart, and sexy beyond his wildest dreams. Joe needs to have her, and he'll stop at nothing to do so. As he begins to insinuate himself into her life - her friendships, her email, her phone - she can’t resist her feelings for a guy who seems custom-made for her. So when her boyfriend, Benji, mysteriously disappears, Beck and Joe fall into a tumultuous affair. But there's more to Beck than her oh-so-perfect façade.

Honest review
Revisado: 06-29-15
I got this because I wanted something different. The story starts off great! The narrator, who is Hans' voice from frozen btw, is amazing. But back to the story. It was like a whiny psychopath complaining a huge chunk of the book. Chapter 1-15 are good and then chapter 44-53 are good. The middle is mindless nonsense. I am really disappointed I wasted an audible credit on this.
