Terrible

This is a tangle of conversations between a group of Boomers. It left me wondering if the author was trying to break a world record for the numbers of quotation marks used in a single novel. The entire thing left me rooting for the natural disaster. It's a shame that literature does not have its own sort of natural selection. Some works beg for extinction- this is one of them...

Historia
In Sasquatch, bounty hunter and expert tracker Lux Branson is hired by cryptozoologist Dr. Stevens to find a legendary creature that he believes lurks in the Piney Woods. What she doesn't count on is leading a motley team of field investigators: Sam, the pompous anthropologist; Julie, the know-it-all biologist and survivalist; Ben, whose tattoos hide more than they reveal; and Hal, a seasoned adventurer.

I was unable to connect with any one of the characters. I think, the majority of people who will read this book, will be male. Branson is the Karen that we hate to encounter two people ahead of us in line at Walmart, she was our own wives or mothers, or worst of all, she was our mothers-in-law. We read to escape them- not to be led by them through the deep woods of Texas. Then to frost the bitter cake, the author had the perfect opportunity to pit the North American Karen against Sasquatch. She could have finally got her comeuppance- but no, you blew it. All she got was a scratch. Better luck next time...
