Historia
Narrator Dan Stevens ( Downton Abbey) presents an uncanny performance of Mary Shelley's timeless gothic novel, an epic battle between man and monster at its greatest literary pitch. In trying to create life, the young student Victor Frankenstein unleashes forces beyond his control, setting into motion a long and tragic chain of events that brings Victor to the very brink of madness. How he tries to destroy his creation, as it destroys everything Victor loves, is a powerful story of love, friendship, scientific hubris, and horror.

Excellent

Stevens does an excellent job creating distinct voices for each character and even handles Elizabeth's voice and character expertly. Fully engrossing.

Historia
If you are feeling this way, my friend, there is a simple explanation. You may be dating or married to a narcissist. Your self-absorbed partner may be gaslighting and manipulating you. He may cycle between love-bombing and distancing himself from you. He seems to be a nice guy to your face sometimes, but then you find out that he is talking bad about you to others. He seems to triangulate you with other women or family members in order to make you jealous and boost his own ego.

Quick & helpful
Revisado: 03-07-19
I could look past the fact that this book keeps referring to the narcissist as a man, the one I work with is a woman and there's still ample helpful information in here. So much of what they do is universal. I dismissed the parts that don't apply to her just like you should for anyone since no two narcissists are the same anyway. For example, they're not all going to be physically abusive, which the book points out. I would have liked even more help on how to cope with these people, but I felt this really was very helpful in a compact book. I got the whole thing heard on my drive to work.
I paid the $2.76 instead of using a credit since I can use credits for far more expensive books. I'm very glad I bought it. It'll be a great quick listen when I need refresher. It's a great start. Great overview.
