Historia
Why would anyone join a cult? Maybe they're unhappy with their current religion, or they want to change the world, or they're disappointed with their lives and want to find something bigger or holier that makes sense of this confusing, chaotic and dangerous world. Or maybe they just want to give themselves the best possible chance of having sex with aliens. Whatever the reason, once people are in, it's usually very difficult for them to leave.

I don't normally feel compelled to write a review
Revisado: 02-29-20
This book is awesome! It is narrated by the author and it is just so funny and such a joy. It reminds me of listening to My Favorite Murder the podcast because the topic is so horrifying but the experience of listening is enjoyable because it's told in such a hilarious way.

One of my new favorite books
Revisado: 10-06-19
I found this book while I was looking for a book that I thought would be similar to Night Tiger or Ghost Bride. The Girl in the Garden ended up being magical in a different way than those two books. However, I ended up loving this book too. I will say that it is a sad story and I usually don't like too much sadness in a book but overall the story was so amazing, and I loved the ending.

Karen and Georgia, this book is amazing and I love you! Please write another book! My only complaint was that I wanted more! Book 2! Book 2! Book 2!

Historia
From New York Times best-selling author Mira Grant comes the second book in the terrifying Parasitology series. The SymboGen-designed tapeworms were created to relieve humanity of disease and sickness. But the implants in the majority of the world's population began attacking their hosts, turning them into a ravenous horde. Now those who do not appear to be afflicted are being gathered for quarantine as panic spreads, but Sal and her companions must discover how the tapeworms are taking over their hosts, what their eventual goal is, and how they can be stopped.

I actually liked it as much as the first one!
Revisado: 03-23-19
I wish I wouldn’t have read the reviews for this book before starting it! The reviews made me nervous and made me think it wasn’t going to be as good as the first book so I hesitated to start this right after I finished Parasite. However, I liked it a lot and I didn’t end up agreeing with the reviews I read before I started this book. I thought it was just as fun and engaging as the last book.
Side note something that cracks me up is the music they sometimes play between chapters. That music is super creepy and I feel like it doesn’t match with the tone of the book at all. I get more of an adventure vibe than a horror vibe when I read this book!
