No woman is that good at marketing and that stupid at life. When she filled the electric car with gas, you lost me. I couldn't listen to another minute.

I think some people would say the man in the story ruined his chances the first time around. I think one of the best parts of life is the ability to change and grow. When Tristan was young, he made choices based on how he was raised. once he knew better, he made better choices. It was very relatable. The male narrator's voice almost had me quitting the story, but I'm glad I pished through. The only other thing is, and I'm speaking as a former member of Ski Patrol, that the skis are too old for new boots. Bindings expire and tech changes. I have some skis that are not as old, and I can't get them tuned up because those people would be liable for any issues. Besides, the new tech provides a much more enjoyable skiing experience. If you want to keep skis that are sentimental to you, hang them on the wall. The last thing is the Good Samaritan Law and emergency care. She was off hospital property and off duty. So that part of the story didn't feel right to me. Glad everything worked out and the right people changed and reading about how everyone got to that place. Would just love a few changes so that it felt a little realistic and correct.

Why would the handyman not do a thing on the property for the year the Aunt was in a nursing home? not even mow the grass? even left the cottage signage on the ground. And yet, he's living in the guest cottage that entire time without lifting a finger. I mean, yes, he had to stop while the Aunt was complaining but after she left and even after she died, he could have at least weeded the flowerbeds. And the lawyer said she had plenty of money but then everyone kept saying they had to be extremely strict so much that she had to make sure income was coming in within 2 months. so many holes.

There was more action in this book than the other Park City Firefighter novels. It was a great change of pace. A bike accident, a fire, and a final good outcome. I was not expecting that little "jewel" of advice from Clover near the end. My father was a life flight pilot and I wish he'd had some sort of routine like the heroine of our story used to decompress after a difficult day. This story hit close to home having grown up in a home with an emergency responder. I'm grateful to author brought up tough subjects while keeping it light and romantic enough. The pace was great too. It was a wonderful book to listen to. Can't wait to hear more from this author!
