Historia
Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is a method of psychotherapeutic treatment that helps patients understand behavior-influencing thoughts and feelings. CBT is often used to treat a wide array of conditions including phobias, addictions, depression, and anxiety. In general, cognitive behavioral therapy is short-term and focuses on helping clients deal with a very specific problem. People learn how to recognise and alter destructive or upsetting patterns of thought that have a negative impact on attitudes and emotions during the course of treatment.

Very Insightful

This book is very intuitive. Depression/Mental Conditions are something that is not dealt with properly in society. If it was addressed early on and interventions, such as what is mentioned in this book, were taken then it would lead to better outcomes for the individuals involved. I deal with anxiety and stress and have for my whole life. I did not know how to manage my thoughts and feelings well.It is about time to have a book that truly understands and explains the importance of careful and mindful thinking. The author explained specifically and clearly the techniques in overcoming fear. I was not very familiar with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy until I read/listened to this book. It has provided an excellent base of the basic principles behind this therapy. I appreciate how the step by step awareness to change the mindset is well explained.
Thoughts become things. We manifest what we think the most. That is how powerful our brain is. That is what the book has taught me. I have already began to journal ways to incorporate this therapy to assist me in daily living.
In the book, there are ideas on how to change negative thought into positive ones. If you can learn how to release the negativity and start focusing on the positive things in life, this therapy will work well for you.
