Historia
The coauthors of the seminal book The Virtual Corporation describe how the rise of artificial intelligence and virtual environments are ushering in an epic cultural transformation - and how we can thrive in this new era. We are at the dawn of the Autonomous Revolution, a turning point in human history as decisive as the Agricultural and Industrial Revolutions. More and more, AI-based machines are replacing human beings, and online environments are gathering our data and using it to manipulate us.

I hoped to discover a nugget that wasn't already clear to me. And, the narrator should stick to writing and let the professionals narrate. Painful to listen to.

Historia
Mrs. Post, the President and First Lady are here to see you. . . . So begins another average evening for Marjorie Merriweather Post. Presidents have come and gone, but she has hosted them all. Growing up in the modest farmlands of Battle Creek, Michigan, Marjorie was inspired by a few simple rules: always think for yourself, never take success for granted, and work hard—even when deemed American royalty, even while covered in imperial diamonds.

Impressive Women
Revisado: 03-08-24
this is one of the most enjoyable books I've heard. Ms. Post appears to be one of the best people to have graced our planet. I'm surprised nobody has made a 10 part Netflix biopic of her. There are many talented female writer/directors that could do an amazing job with her story.

Historia
Myrlie Louise Beasley met Medgar Evers on her first day of college. They fell in love at first sight, married just one year later, and Myrlie left school to focus on their growing family. Medgar became the field secretary for the Mississippi branch of the NAACP, charged with beating back the most intractable and violent resistance to black voting rights in the country. Myrlie served as Medgar’s secretary and confidant, working hand in hand with him as they struggled against public accommodations and school segregation, lynching, violence, and sheer despair within their state’s “black belt.”

Enlightening!

I learned so much that I was unaware of about Mr. Evers. I'm surprised he isn't more well known the way MLK and Malcolm X are. Ms. Reid did an excellent job to do just that.
