Excellent story with lite LitRPG elements

I really enjoyed the story. Like most LitRPG the MC experiences isekai into a new world/universe, there a plenty nerdy quips and sly nods to cultural references that no one from the new world understand.

Unlike other LitRPG that I’ve read, the MC doesn’t fall into a quest to level up and become the strongest. Asa’s goal is simply, figure out a way to get home to his wife and kids. Asa maintains his fundamental beliefs and principles throughout the story despite some intimidating trials.

The narrator’s pacing and cadence was pleasant and didn’t detract from the story at all. There were a couple points that I felt could have used better inflection to play up the emotional aspect of the story which is why I gave the performance 4 stars.

Adorable!

Story was so adorable and perfectly feel good. The voice actors were on point and with perfect pacing. 10/10 would recommend!

Enjoyable Supernatural Mystery

The story begins normally in that there is no hint of supernatural. Eventually the supernatural creeps in with moderate flair which is perfect to keep all of the characters questioning if what they think happened really happened. There were some elements of the story that felt rushed but overall was forgivable. Overall the story is enjoyable and the narrator has a great cadence and variety of voices for the characters.

Adorably comedic homage to gaming

Fanboys and fangirls of a certain green garbed hero with his annoying fairy companions will love this novella. I certainly know I did! The main character sets out to break the mold and she certainly smashes it to pieces.

I loved every minute of this story and the adorable relationships between the characters. The gentle poking at why certain things have to happen in games wasn’t so much an insult as it was a loving prod for some change.

I would love to see another novella of this story line but understand that it was meant as a stand alone.

Yet another hilarious romp through The Land

Aleron and Nick are a match made in heaven. Aleron’s writing is hilarious and well thought out, and Nick’s performance brings Richter and crew to life. As much as I love reading the books, listening to them narrated by Nick makes it SO much more enjoyable!
