Would you consider the audio edition of Taran Wanderer to be better than the print version?
Not sure. I loved both. And this audio addition is very well done
What did you like best about this story?
Characters .... nobel characters
Which character – as performed by James Langton – was your favorite?
Couldn't tell you .... he was excellent at all of them
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
From one part to the next the whole thing is well developed. The challenges are realistic, and the characters are all pushed to develop themselves

Historia
In this groundbreaking book, Thomas M. Kostigen reveals the vital missing link in today's environmental crisis: how we as individuals are connected to the most tenuous geography on the planet. Despite the recent prominence of "green" issues in the news, we continue to ignore the raw relationship between the earth and our actions. But the seemingly insignificant things we do every day have the power to literally alter the landscape in the ongoing battle to resuscitate the planet.

Inspirational in a way I did not expect
Revisado: 08-21-12
If you could sum up You Are Here in three words, what would they be?
Thoughtful. Thoughtful. Thoughtful.
What was one of the most memorable moments of You Are Here?
His descriptions of how the distribution of garbage works. How computers from the LA schools sit in land fills in India, and how something like 25% of the polution in LA is from China.
He creates a whole picture .... but it is not dark, morbid and fanatic. It is thoughtful and well informed. Simple and to the point.
What does the narrator bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
not sure
If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?
Garbage, without judgement
Any additional comments?
I highly recommend this book. Growing up on a farm, I am very aware of what comes around goes around. I am also aware, that to go to one extreme or the other is pointless. I would never not use antibiotics when an animal was sick, nor would I keep the animals constantly on antibiotics so that I could keep them in unhealthy conditions.
This book finds just that balance

Revisado: 08-21-12
What did you love best about All Creatures Great and Small?
It is a fantastic story. A story of the turn of the century when penicillin was just coming into use. A time of small cities, and big hearts!
Who was your favorite character and why?
James Harriet. James Harriet is performed by the gentleman who played the part in the TV show All Creatures Great and Small. Though Siegfried is a close second!
Which scene was your favorite?
Too many to recount! I laughed and cried and laughed again.
Any additional comments?
A wonderful book, story or TV show. My kids have spent house listening to these! Based on the life of James Harriet, who was alive and helped with the TV series ..... it has all the warmth, grit and delight of a life well lived and loved!

Zen and the Samurai

This book is deeply insightful. So often in the translation much is lost. Yet the author takes the time to explain the true meaning of the word, not just the easiest translation.
Listen well there is much to learn.
