Might be Good Book ... but bad reader ...
Revisado: 04-22-14
What would have made Hidden better?
Instead of a feel that the reader is part of the story, this was like a raw and unprofessional first time novice approach. As such, it detracted from the book.
Other readers like Scott Brick, George Guidall or Tony Roberts can make a fair book good ... not this reader. I found myself constantly backing up and drifting often.
To date, I have read 258 Audiobooks ... this was the worst read I have had since trying (unsuccessfully) to get through Les Miserables
Would you recommend Hidden to your friends? Why or why not?
Not as an audio ... unless it gets redone.
How could the performance have been better?
Reader should do homework ... prepare and know the story ... show some feeling
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
Disappointment
Any additional comments?
I am glad that the subsequent books were not read by the same reader, else I would be returning to Audible.

Historia
After a shocking loss, Stone Barrington is at loose ends, unsure if he wants to stay in New York and continue his work as a partner at Woodman & Weld. It comes as a welcome relief when he's summoned to Washington, D.C., by President Will Lee. The president has a special operation that calls for Stone's unique skill set, and it's a mission that will reunite him with his former partner in crime and in bed, Holly Barker.

Typical Stone Barrington ...
Revisado: 02-06-12
Would you try another book from Stuart Woods and/or Tony Roberts?
Have loved and listend to many (if not all) of the Woods / Roberts team.
What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?
That Stone was back to being Stone after the Son of Stone diversion, which I did like.
Have you listened to any of Tony Roberts???s other performances before? How does this one compare?
Equal ... Tony is very consistent.
Was D.C. Dead worth the listening time?
At less than10 hours, yes.
Any additional comments?
Was glad to see Stuart Woods back to the Stone of old, however this iteration did seem to drag a bit. Bringing Holly Barker and Teddy Faye back in for a parallel plot served only to continue the viability of their characters beyond DC Dead for possible (indeed probable) future inclusion into the Stone Barrington storyline.
