Convoluted story that kept your attention

About half way through the story I became thoroughly enticed by the characters. The story was a sad but commonly true around the world of how far people will go to cover their tracks and stand right in front of you and tell a bald-faced lie. I liked it a lot and will probably read it again. Reader was excellent.

Kept my attention because I had no idea where it was going. I am an artist, so I know the insane addiction one has sometimes to paint picture after picture in some kind of frenzy. Delighted by the accolades for a primitive artist, but knew it was because of a one armed painter. From there on I was lost in trying to understand the drift into sheer horror that was coming at me page after page. Story comes out of King's gloriously twisted mind. Loved it.

Characters were well sussed out

Loved the characters; they made sense and were new and exciting and believeable. Reader made the story even more interesting, well pleased I spent my money on L T Ryan. Will read more of the offerings.I can definitely see a women who can take up arms and fight as well or even better than a man. She will be a pathfinder for you get generations. Continue on...

Nicely done

When I started this story I couldn't get interested, but when it finally was my last free book to come up I restarted it. I became enthralled with the story teller and the characters. It was both an addictive and challenging story. I actually cried in places because the people were so real. The ending gave me a fulfilling sigh of joy for the kids and especially for the mother who was entering a new life that I dearly hope would be joyful for at least a few years. Thanks for a cathartic story. We all have known these characters at some time in our lives, people who just have no idea why they did what they did.

Hated every word. Nonsense romance that is not practical. Foolish children's motion of what love is. This was just a poem novel of you ask me.

Point of view different-a woman's

I thoroughly enjoyed this apocalypse story. The woman heroine made me curse in horror, scream with terror, cringe with female failure and wallow in a mother's love awakened. A fine piece of work a long time coming from a woman's point of view. The women were familiar, people we all know and hate and love. Thank you for the story.

Characters good but slows to like. Story made no sense in some places, but others it went by too fast. I would give the reader a 5. Series itself well done and each book caught you up for the next episode. All in all Liked the books and would read your other books.
