Historia
Travis Devine has become a pro at accomplishing any mission he's given. But this time it’s not his skills that send him to Seattle to aid the FBI in escorting orphaned, twelve-year-old Betsy Odom to a meeting with her uncle, who’s under federal investigation. Instead, he’s hoping to lay low and keep off the radar of an enemy–the girl on the train. But as Devine gets to know Betsy, questions begin to arise around the death of her parents.

Familiar, but not!

Started out on a familiar plot line, but had some really good twists! I don’t agree with Audible‘s 15 word minimum.

Historia
Two astronomers have detected a strange, pulsing signal from deep space. Within hours, the US government goes into lockdown, restricting airspace and scrubbing scientific data. Was the signal an intercepted communication revealing alarming plans for an enemy’s military strike? Or has humanity at long last found proof of extraterrestrial life?

Really good

I don’t think the story would be distracted from if they did not include swearing. Otherwise, it would be kind of a fun story to share with young people.

Good story, I dislike the narrator's style.
Revisado: 07-26-20
My preference would be for less detailed descriptions of elements that do not contribute to the plot/story. I had to listen at 1.5X speed to get the narration up to a decent tempo, but again, my bias.
Otherwise, really good book!

Historia
The Apostle Paul was kind of a jerk. He was arrogant and stubborn. He called his opponents derogatory, racist names. He legitimized slavery and silenced women. He was a moralistic, homophobic killjoy who imposed his narrow religious views on others. Or was he? Randolph Richards and Brandon O'Brien explore the complicated persona and teachings of the Apostle Paul. Unpacking his personal history and cultural context, they show how Paul both offended Roman perspectives and scandalized Jewish sensibilities.

A Solid Work... except for the Narrator.
Revisado: 02-21-20
I think the content on this book is quite solid. I'd prefer to never hear the narrator again. His voice was annoying and I don't think he did the research he needed on pronunciation.

Good book with the inherent difficulties of epidemiologic work.
Revisado: 10-01-15
The author did a good job of blending epidemiologic data along with some interesting stories/anecdotes to make a compelling book. At times the strength of the recommendation given exceeds that of the data available. But all in all a good effort!

Historia
J.P. Moreland issues a call to recapture the drama and power of kingdom living—to cultivate a revolution of Evangelical life, spirituality, thought, and Spirit-led power. Moreland believes that evangelical Christianity can mature and lead the surrounding society out of the meaningless morass it finds itself in with humility and vision. With clear insight, he puts the thoughtful Christian in a position to understand our current struggle and to return to a responsible presentation of "the way of Christ" as not just a way of right living, but also a way of knowledge and meaningful life.

Good Balance Between Ideas & Actionable Items
Revisado: 11-17-13
Would you listen to Kingdom Triangle again? Why?
Yes, to better understand his arguments as my background isn't philosophy.
What didn’t you like about James Adams’s performance?
He has such a stuffy voice which kind of re-enforces the myth that this is for 'intellectuals' only.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Nothing extreme, but the stories he shared touched my heart.
Any additional comments?
It would be great to have access to the study questions in print form (without having to buy the Kindle version). I couldn't find them on the websites, and I feel like I'll need to transcribe them to be able to answer them.

Well written, and critically important topic. I would prefer a different narrator. He was easy to understand but I found his voice somewhat of a distraction.

Revisado: 08-27-07
Unlike the DaVinci code, I was glad when this book was finally over. During the last 1/3 of the book I kept feeling, can you finally end it, only to find out it went on and on... Although it was an interesting story, it just required too great a suspension of reality to make it reasonable, even with imagination, to listen to.

A nicely done format/presentation. The actor who does God's voice come across as cruel/mean. Otherwise the voices are distinct and have clear diction. It also seems like the translation is not quite word-for word but for the most part retains the spirit of the text. In all a good work.
