Historia
On the streets of Venice, magic burns and wars wage, while powerful illusions and mind-bending magic keep the world of The Skilled hidden from ordinary people—or typics. The powerful Mardova Family rules with an iron fist, keeping their powers secret and their eyes on their enemies. Zan Mardova would rather use his magical Skills to do tricks on his motorcycle or fly over buildings than involve himself in Family politics, but when he discovers a rival Family has brainwashed a beautiful typic girl named Ellie, he begins to unravel a web of dangerous secrets with Ellie at the center.

Very good book!
Revisado: 11-06-22
There is more swearing than I would like, and the romance is a little unrealistic (one date, and then a bunch of crazy events and then they’re in love). But I love the magic system and the environment. I would recommend it.

Historia
Three hundred years after the events of the Mistborn trilogy, Scadrial is now on the verge of modernity, with railroads to supplement the canals, electric lighting in the streets and the homes of the wealthy, and the first steel-framed skyscrapers racing for the clouds.Kelsier, Vin, Elend, Sazed, Spook, and the rest are now part of history—or religion. Yet the old magics of Allomancy and Feruchemy continue to play a role in this reborn world....

Legendary

Okay, so I love the character development, the intrusive, and the action in this story. It took a bit for me to get into it, but once Wayne showed up, I was IN! It has more swear words than I would like (the d and h words), but I still listen to it because the good outshines the bad. Michael Kramer is magnificent at making Wayne’s accents work, and Sanderson’s marvelous writing style brings the magic to your mind. I often reccomend this book, even sometimes to people that haven’t read the first trilogy.

Historia
Stephen Leeds is perfectly sane. It's his hallucinations who are mad. A genius of unrivaled aptitude, Stephen can learn any new skill, vocation, or art in a matter of hours. However, to contain all of this, his mind creates hallucinatory people - Stephen calls them aspects - to hold and manifest the information. Wherever he goes, he is joined by a team of imaginary experts to give advice, interpretation, and explanation. He uses them to solve problems...for a price. Then a company hires him to recover stolen property - a camera that can allegedly take pictures of the past....

Sanderson knows how to make you think.
Revisado: 08-07-22
Legion may be tough to comprehend, but it makes the reader (listener) ponder their own psyche while providing an enjoyable and well-formatted story. I don’t know how Sanderson transmits dreams onto the page, but when he does, beauty is made. Plus, he makes us ask the deep questions: how do we know anything is real? What do we really value in life, and why? How are each of us un-sane? Also, each novella could be used as its own standalone, but it all flows! It’s amazing!
This book (anthology, I guess), won’t be perfect for everyone. It won’t have the same effect on me as it will on you. But that’s part of why this book is so cool. It shows that your brain is unique, and that you have powers you’ve never used before. So I say, read/listen this book. Use your wonderful brain, and come out better for it. You were made to grow.

Historia
Everything I’d known about the world was a lie. On my thirteenth birthday, I, Alcatraz Smedry (yes, I got named after a prison, don’t ask), received my inheritance: a bag of sand. And then I accidentally destroyed my foster parents’ kitchen. It’s not my fault, things just break around me, I swear! I thought the sand was a joke until evil Librarians came to steal it. You’re probably thinking, “Librarians are nice people who recommend good books,” but that’s just what they want you to think!

I will now call him Sensei Sanderson
Revisado: 07-01-22
Brandon Sanderson is a master of writing, and this book proves it. His humor is phenomenal; his understanding of plot, character development, fake swear words, and clumsiness is epic; and his ability to keep pulling the reader on without them feeling frustrated is incredible. I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in yellowish roots, sharks, cult sacrifices, girl bosses, clumsy teenagers, wearing glasses, super fast driving, burning ramen, Gacks (whatever those are), and anything else.

Absurd and Awesome!
Revisado: 06-14-22
This book is one of those where you just laugh at all of the silliness and the stress the characters are going through, cause all of it is so ridiculous. I love it. We need more books like this one. I gave the story 4 stars because it can be difficult to keep track of sometimes, especially in an audio format, but that isn’t much of a hindrance. It is so epic, and there is adequate explanation for you to get the picture.
In short, if Dan Wells and I were both vampires, I would give him all of my rabbits.

Historia
Uncle Tom's Cabin was the best-selling novel of the 19th century and the second best-selling book of that century, following the Bible. It is credited with helping fuel the abolitionist cause in the 1850s. In 1855, three years after it was published, it was called "the most popular novel of our day." A thrilling and important piece of American literature!

One of the best books I have ever read. Very uplifting, insisting, and educational. The author was proved by history to be a prophetess.
