I'll never see foreign aid the same way. We've all been had. This was a real eye-opener, not just on the Clintons but 'foreign aid' in general.

What did you love best about Wealth, Poverty, and Politics?

I love how Dr. Sowell methodically explained the differences in cultural advancements among people groups and demonstrated why those occur. He did it in a fascinating way. He is truly gifted both with vision and communication. I love to learn and I felt like I was taking a very advanced level Humanities course. And yet, it wasn't boring, not even for a minute. I feel I have a greater understanding of the complexity of the challenges faced by people groups in certain parts of the world. And likewise, less tolerance for groups living in the midst of abundance yet refusing to help themselves. The benefit in that is that I will no longer kowtow to any form of destructive political correctness which has the unfortunate effect of harming African Americans. This man is brilliant. I just bought another of his books.

What other book might you compare Wealth, Poverty, and Politics to and why?

I've never read any book that compares with this. He is in a league of his own.

Which scene was your favorite?

Picturing the magnificent falls of Africa and the socially isolating challenges they cause to beautiful people living there.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No, for me, there was a growth process. As I learned about some of the geographic challenges faced by some, my mind was challenged to view some indigenous people groups differently. I believe I was changed.

Any additional comments?

I 'read' this on audio on my commute to work. The speaker had a very pleasant voice. I was actually very happy to discover he was the one reading my next audio book as well.

If you could sum up Rising to the Challenge in three words, what would they be?

Courage, Vision, Stamina

What did you like best about this story?

Her openness about her personal struggle through the HP debacle, death of her daughter, and her commitment to labor both for her principles and family even while undergoing chemo. The woman is a true inspiration. If more people embodied the character Mrs. Fiorina has exhibited through hardship, the world would be a better place.

Any additional comments?

Well-written, easy to follow. I 'read' it in my car on audio. Clearly enunciated, pleasant voice, easy to listen to.
