Great Series

I really enjoyed the story of Ruth. After being injured, Ruth has to come to grips with her new way of life. She tries various ways some that work and others not as she expected. She also has to work with Frank the head chef and Owen the manager of the El Tovar, the hotel she works at to find out who is trying to sabotage the hotel.

I liked seeing how Ruth evolved over the course of the story. She really had to come to grips with not only some things that happened in her life, but with things that were going on all around her. Her interactions with the other characters make you want to both cheer for her and give her a nudge in the right direction.

I also had the opportunity to listen to this book and felt that the narrator did a great job.

Great Series

I am glad to get to hear the story of Ivy. She has worked hard to establish herself a someone she wants to be instead of just who she is expected to be. She gets caught by an old acquaintance, Jericho and has to decide how to handle it . Jericho finds himself growing more attracted to Ivy but is not sure how to combine his past and present. A great read with lots of action. Look forward to more.

The story of the McQuaid family continues with Brody. Brody had come to live with his brothers and their families, but is having a hard time fitting in. While in town he meets Savannah. She has been trained in vet skills and comes back to the ranch to live with the McQuaid family and use her skills. She too is running from something. Together they work at helping each other work through their problems.

They run into issues as they work to save the mustangs that are running wild near the ranch and the townspeople that Brody has antagonized. Savannah must face her family and speak up for herself. Hopefully together they can work through their problems and grow closer to each other.

Enjoyable

A great read and loved seeing how the agents were able to interact and get past previous incidents to get the job done. Evan did the best he could when he and another agent out on a call , but it did not turn out well for the other agent. Now he is working with the partner of the agent on another case and they both have to get past the past to stop the terrorists.

This book really keeps you wanting to know what will happen next and how the agents will handle it. It gets even more personal as they have to not only worry about the general public, but close family members as well, I got this as an audio book and enjoyed the narrator as well.

I have enjoyed reading to the next installment of the Orphan Train series. I can imagine the guild that Marianne feels as she takes on her job caring for the children on the orphan train. She has to make sure they stay safe and go to a good home while also trying to figure out what happened to her younger sister and two other children from her earlier life.
This book really gave insight as to what it was like for the children on the train and made you happy when you felt they were getting a good life and suspicious of some of the families as well. I look forward to seeing what is in store next for the series.

I enjoy seeing what Shannon will find herself into next. I was amazed how all the people got together and were able to transform the house. It must have been huge and of course there has to be a dead body thrown in to get them off deadline. “AUDIBLE 20 REVIEW SWEEPSTAKES ENTRY”

Keeps you Guessing to the End

I enjoyed listening to this mystery of who is trying to sabotage the Taste of the World fundraiser and the situations that Marla finds herself in as she tries to figure out what is going on. Marla works her way through the suspects wanting to eliminate some, but tries to be fair. All the while she also is trying to figure out who is trying to keep Ocean Guard from taking possession of the preserve and if the two events are connected.
I liked how she went about combining interviewing suspects, gathering clues, and finding chefs to take part in Taste of the World. She also finds time to combine dating with sleuthing and still work her day job.
I enjoyed the narrator of this book as well. She did a good job in the voices for the different characters.
This was an interesting mystery and I plan to explore more in the series. “I voluntarily received a review copy of this audiobook from the author.”
