Historia
Renowned interviewer David Barsamian showcases his unique access to Chomsky's thinking on a number of topics of contemporary and historical import. Chomsky offers insights into the institutions that shape the public mind in the service of power and profit. In an interview conducted after the important November 1999 "Battle in Seattle", Chomsky discusses prospects for building a movement to challenge corporate domination of the media, the environment, and even our private lives.

Great book, less than stellar reading
Revisado: 01-09-22
The least that could have been done for a book done in interview-style would be to use two readers for clear distinction who was speaking. It’s very easy to get lost in whether David was posing a question or Noam was replying.
Further, the reader’s “just woke up” style of voice was just monotonous, dry, and unexciting. If the content weren’t so interesting I would have stopped.

Historia
Eighteen years after the genocide that made Rwanda international news, yet left it all but abandoned by the West, the country has achieved a miraculous turnaround. Rising out of the complete devastation of a failed state, Rwanda has emerged on the world stage yet again - this time with a unique model for governance and economic development under the leadership of its strong and decisive president, Paul Kagame. Here, Patricia Crisafulli and Andrea Redmond look at Kagame’s leadership.

Paul Kagame is a dictator, not a savior.
Revisado: 05-21-21
If you’re looking for an objective account of history, I implore you to look elsewhere, for this manuscript was little more than the story of Superman, retold in the likeness of Paul Kagame. There are scores of better researched works that tell the story of conflict and context about Rwanda, that don’t ask the dictator what they think of themselves and then simply reprint every word and flower up the rest of the story to boot.
Dancing in the Glory of Monsters by Jason Stearns is an example of reporting with in

You can say goodbye to today's Internet, New York Times best-selling author George Gilder says. Soon the current model of aggregated free content populated with "value-subtracted" advertising will die a natural deat. In Life After Google, Gilder takes listeners on a brilliant, rocketing journey into the very near-future, into an Internet with a new "bitcoin-bitgold" transaction layer that will replace spam with seamless micro-payments and provide an all-new standard for global money.

Not for the layman
Revisado: 10-09-19
If you don’t already have a solid foundation with blockchain knowledge and terminology I wouldn’t recommend this book - I think it was a fantastic discussion on potential future outcomes but a fair amount went over my head. Very tech-y and not designed for the casual reader looking to learn more
