As one who immersed himself in EQ and WoW realms, I have thoroughly been enjoying this series. It brings back memories of those late weekend nights of fighting and looting monsters, and leveling up. My wife and monster fighting partner has started listening now so I may have to start over where she is so we can enjoy it more together. Sounds like a plan until book 5 arrives!

Good story, I'm from Minnesota originally so I enjoyed that it takes place there. Narration was very good with distinct voices for each character. Loved the accents. A bunch of teases at the end so I'm looking forward to the next book in the series.

Great “finale” to a wonderful series. Hard to say much without giving anything away but book 6 was non stop action. You think “well that takes care of that” and Shog, another curveball. I loved this book! Another great job by the narrator, character voices carry over from book to book to keep it easy to follow. Well Done D.P. Prior and Mike Carnes! Definitely not an Iron Bellies!

Another fun chapter in the Annals of the Nameless Dwarf (and his companions). This series has been a a very good listen and hard to push pause. The narrator does a great job keeping the voices consistent from book to book as well as a great job inventing character voices. If you enjoy fantasy this series should be on your list. Quality writing and fun execution. I’m ready for book 6. Hurry up ya shogger.

this series keeps gettin better

Over 10 years of Audible I've listened to a bunch of series. This one keeps getting better and book 3 was probably one of the best books I've listened to. It starts right out running full tilt and for 9 hours and 39 minutes barely slows to take a breath. Mike has done a great job narrating these, keeping the listener engaged, the storyline interesting and giving great voices to the characters. Do yourself a favor if you like this genre and check this series out, and now for me....... bring on Book 4!

don't be a shoggard, get this series

new characters added to the fray, new battles, just keeps gettin better. Mike Carnes does a great job keeping the voices separate,(and there's a bunch) so you know who's speaking which truly helps the story flow. I can't wait for the next book, I really want to see where this all goes. Great writing D.P. Prior, this series is one of those that's easy to picture in your mind as you listen.
