This book 🥵 … oh good lord this book 🤤 … This was my first read by Jolie Vines and I am sooooo glad booktok lead me down the rabbit hole that brought me to this book!! I finished it in less than a day and when I say I counted down the days till book two was released on KU I’m not kidding! This story was amazing, the characters and world building amazing!! Definitely worth the credit and the read because good god I was addicted!!

Absolutely Obsessed!! No Spoilers!! **check TW**

The chockhold this duet had me in was intense 🥵… I can not sing the praises of how absolutely enthralled I was with the story Liv Zander weaved into existence. This was my first read by this author and I was so in love with it I also purchased another duet set by her after finishing these books in less than 48hrs!! I could not put them down!!

Book Two: Good Gods this duet did soooooo much to me!! The emotions this duet had me feeling were a roller coaster ride and a ride I would pay to take 100x over!!! By the end I was sobbing because the way Liv wrote these characters into existence was like no other. I felt as if I knew them!! I can not give this book/duet enough praise because it’s been extremely hard to match in my obsession with dark fantasy movies romance!! If you hated Maylr at first, get ready because you will fall so in love with him you won’t know what hit you!! One of the best redemptions I’ve read in a long time!! (ABSOLUTELY worth listening on Audible 👀)

Obsessed!!!

Book One: Had me hooked like a fish on a line!! Please be aware that like me you will probably end this book angry and cursing Malyr! The character building in this book is some of the best I’ve read hands down!! The tension and build up between the FMC and the two MMCs was to die for! Please be aware the first one does leave on a cliff hanger (I personally HATE books without a HEA) but good lord I couldn’t not pick up the second book to see what happened! Liv build such a vivid world it was hard to not picture it in my head like a movie! The plot was not at all lost by the spice and good gods the spice only made the story better!! I definitely finished the first book Angry and Seething with Malyr and wanting him to suffer 🥹… but what’s a good duet without cliffhanger that makes you wake up ready to read book two just to see what happens!! (ABSOLUTELY worth listening on Audible 👀)

Good Read…. But 👀

Story kept me in it till the end.. I will say in all honesty that Austin was irritating and irrational in my opinion and I was slightly disappointed at how Aspen was always so quick to speak her mind expect when it came to her brother Austin unless it was playful banter, would have loved for her to stick it to him about Issac like she did with everything else so that was slightly irritating as well but I’m not the writer lol

Over all the spice was good … I’m a sucker for a good forbidden love story.

🖤 The Story … Not So Much The Narration

I can honestly say I’m so glad I bought the book and didn’t allow the audio to detour me. The story, characters, spicy and overall enjoyment of this book are a for sure 5 ⭐️for me but man oh man this narration killllllls it all 😫 I definitely recommend the book hands down… just read it lol don’t listen to it lol

This was the first book I read by this author (followed along with my kindle) and omg 🥵 .. saying I love it would be an understatement and an overall disrespect. I can not express how impressed I was by the voice readers and their deliverance. The story was so compelling, captivating, enticing, and all around all consuming. I couldn’t stop read/listening! The details the author put into play and the over all suspense of some scenes had me craving more and at times I felt like I was watching a movie play out in my head. Thank you for this!!! I can’t wait to read another!!
