Historia
It’s officially booty o’clock, I’m alone again in my kitchen choking down a slice of terrible chocolate cake…and I’m pretty sure I just got drunk texted by the man I have a ginormous crush on. I’ve been daydreaming about Eliot Hoffman’s dimples for two months, and even though I’m sure this was a mistake on his end, it doesn’t mean it’s not an opportunity on mine. It’s the middle of the night, and I just wanna talk to him. So I text him back.

Loved the characters. Narrators were outstanding.
Revisado: 09-22-24
The storyline of the apartment break in. I’ll just leave that there. Also I wish there was more time to build the relationship dynamic between Eliot and JD- it went a little fast for me, but it is a shorter story.

To me, he was Grizzly. To the world, I would learn, he’s someone else completely. I should have died on that mountain. But he rescued me. More animal than man, he’s cold, distant, and fiercely territorial. He seems to hate me for simply breathing, and yet, he brought me back to life.

Should have stopped at the first half
Revisado: 07-18-24
This was awful. The second half pretty much ruined what might have been an okay story.

There are many rules a priest can't break. A priest cannot marry. A priest cannot abandon his flock. A priest cannot forsake his God. I've always been good at following rules. Until she came. Then I learned new rules.

Insanely hot
Revisado: 04-05-24
First, I am catholic. I’m now having an internal crisis after listening to this.
This is akin to Fifty Shades of the Archdioceses.
Narrator was impeccable.
I don’t listen to things like this very often but this audiobook was crazy hot and unsettling.

Historia
Concerned that technology is about to chase mythological creatures out into the open (how long can Sasquatch stay hidden from Google maps?), the League for Interspecies Cooperation is sending Jillian to Louisiana on a fact-finding mission. While the League hopes to hold on to secrecy for a little bit longer, they're preparing for the worst in terms of human reactions. They need a plan, so they look to Mystic Bayou, a tiny town hidden in the swamp where humans and supernatural residents have been living in harmony for generations.

Great story except…
Revisado: 02-04-23
True to many of the other reviews- I loved the story/storyline. I knew what I was getting into with the steamy sex scenes prior to reading.
However, even though felt the character building was going along well, then BAM!- they were having sex on a pile of gold.
I honestly didn’t feel the tension or sexual chemistry had fully been heightened or built up by the time they half-heartedly consummated their relationship. It felt rushed and ingenious. It cheapened the storyline for me.
Loved the town, the other characters and backstory.
I’d definitely read another, this one just didn’t quite hit all the marks for me.

Historia
Ehd's a caveman living on his own in a harsh wilderness. He's strong and intelligent but completely alone. When he finds a beautiful, young woman in his pit trap, it's obvious to him that she is meant to be his mate. Elizabeth doesn't know where she is or exactly how she got there. She's not at all interested in Ehd's primitive advances, and she just can't seem to get him to listen. No matter what she tries, getting her point across to this primitive but beautiful man is a constant - and often hilarious - struggle.

One of the best
Revisado: 01-28-23
I like romance novels as much as a lot of women, but what I wasn’t expecting was this incredible love story that just captured my heart and wouldn’t let go. If you’re on the fence about reading this book, do yourself a favor and just experience it. Because that is exactly what it is. Amazing. Beautiful. Incredibly heartfelt. I won’t give spoilers. I’ve never, ever cried while reading (well, audiobook) a romance novel until today. The narrator captured the story, the characters and had me from the first HOH.

Nice.
Revisado: 01-09-23
I enjoyed the story of Magnus and Eva- it unfolded nicely. The only thing that was a bit strange to me is the narrator (a male) doing Eva’s voice. I know it can’t be helped but it was a little hard to get into. His performance of Magnus and other male characters were fantastic.

Historia
When Mark Lanegan first arrived in Seattle in the mid-1980s, he was just "an arrogant, self-loathing redneck waster seeking transformation through rock 'n' roll." Little did he know that within less than a decade, he would rise to fame as the frontman of the Screaming Trees, and then fall from grace as a low-level crack dealer and a homeless heroin addict, all the while watching some of his closest friends rocket to the forefront of popular music.

Raw, authentic,
Revisado: 12-13-22
This memoir of Mark Lanegan was so brutally honest, unapologetic, and strangely beautiful. I can’t imagine the cathartic process this must have been for him at the behest of Anthony Bourdain. The experiences and life he led are wildly unimaginable and he took me on that journey. I am grateful that he shared the most private aspects of his life and the Seattle music scene. RIP Mark- and Thank you.
