As I listened to this book, I was constantly remarking to myself how honest and authentic it is. I learned so much about autism and how deeply it affects the autistic individual and the families of autistic children. I was a teacher for many years and wish I knew then what Leigh Merryday Porch has shared with us now. Thankyou.

I loved the one second after series. This book is not nearly as good. The dialogue does not ring as true.

Don't like the documentary-style format

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

Just read it like a story, not a radio serial. It was distracting going from voice to voice and accent to accent.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

Same as above. Just read it like a story, not a radio serial. It was distracting going from voice to voice and accent to accent.

Would you be willing to try another one of Sam Bungey and Jennifer Forde ’s performances?

No.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

Not really.

Any additional comments?

No.

What would have made Zoo better?

More intelligent writing would have been nice. I felt that the author was writing simplistically for a less educated reader. There were way too many similes and strange analogies. Some of it was just dumb. I really tried to keep listening, but I gave up.

What was most disappointing about James Patterson and Michael Ledwidge ’s story?

Cumbersome and immature writing.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

His voice often sounded like a whiny kid.
