Historia
An untested group of Shield-Brethren initiates stand before the sprawling Mongol army in a bloody circus of sadistic violence, while a hardened company of their finest roam the desolate wasteland of the Mongol empire, wrapping their dead in blood-soaked soil and struggling to find the strength to fight even as they mourn. The warrior-monks, both in the East and the West, sharpen their swords for a final battle. The Khan of Khans must be slain if Christendom is to survive.

Keeps getting better!
Revisado: 04-25-13
What did you love best about The Mongoliad: The Foreworld Saga, Book 3?
Everything! This world is just fascinating! I especially love the shield brethren though, and the shield maidens.
Have you listened to any of Luke Daniels’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
He is brilliant, as always, but it is always hard to understand what Raphael is saying.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I was devastated with what happened to Andreas!
Any additional comments?
Just a fantastic series, I've listened to the lot and have now bought the print versions to read again. I'm going through the prequels now, I just can't get enough of these stories!

Historia
In the late nineteenth century a mysterious group of English martial arts aficionados provided Sir Richard F. Burton, well-known expert on exotic languages and historical swordsmanship, a collection of long-lost manuscripts to translate. Burton’s work was subsequently misplaced, only to be discovered by a team of amateur archaeologists in the ruins of a mansion in Treiste. From Burton's translations and the original source material, the epic tale of The Mongoliad was recreated.

Absolutely Fantastic
Revisado: 02-25-13
What a brilliant, engaging story! Such an involved, intricate plot and the characters are just fabulous. I bought the next book as soon as I finished this one and pre-ordered the third straight after that. Just a fantastic book, I can't wait for the third!

Historia
When Tudor explorers returned from the New World, they brought back a name out of half-forgotten Viking legend: skraylings. Red-sailed ships followed in the explorers’ wake, bringing Native American goods - and a skrayling ambassador – to London. But what do these seemingly magical beings really want in Elizabeth I’s capital? Mal Catlyn, a down-at-heel swordsman, is appointed to the ambassador’s bodyguard, but assassination attempts are the least of his problems.

Unusual in a good way
Revisado: 01-27-13
I really enjoyed this story, historically it was fascinating. Not as much magic in it as I usually like in a book though, but enough fantasy to keep me interested. I really liked the heroine, she is really original and I liked her a lot. Each character was really interesting in their own way too. Not sure if I'm interested enough to go the second book though, for some reason. Maybe because I like more fantasy and magic?

Really. After faithfully following this series for about 4 or 5 books I've finally given up. There is one interesting story in this one, about Al, and that's it. Marguerite Gavin is brilliant as always, as for the story....

Historia
There's no rest for the wicked, even when the taint on your soul isn't your fault. It would be wise for witch and bounty hunter Rachel Morgan to keep a low profile right now. Her new reputation for the dark arts has piqued the interest of Cincinnati's night-prowlers, who despise her and long to bring an end to her interference, one way or another. Nevertheless, Rachel must risk exposure....

Annoying
Revisado: 12-12-12
I've read a few of the books in this series and enjoyed them despite Rachel's air head nature. This one just erred me virtually from start to finish. When Rachel wasn't too busy find everything in pants attractive, she was trying her hardest to flaunt herself in a skin tight black running suit, including bending over at the waist to put her hands on the ground in front of 3 packs of weres. When she wasn't doing that she and her partners were bullying nick and were looking for excuses to turn on him. I found this story frustrating, boring, sometimes petty and at others immature. I'll be seeing about a refund on this one although I suppose it gives som backstory for future books.

Unbelievably good. I'm so glad I found this series. There wasn't one thing about this story that I didn't like (and that's rare!). Luke Daniels is an amazing narrator. I bought the other two in the series as soon as I finished this one. Brilliant!
