Disappointing. The run stops at 21 books.

Disappointing purchase!

I have faithfully followed Daniel Silva for years. I am disappointed with how blatantly political this novel has been. It has also had too many references to COVID, social distancing.... Does anyone need to read multiple times that characters were six feet apart? The plot was thin and reused with way too many details that slowed the pace and did not add to the crafting of the story. The characters had changed so much from previous books in the series. It was as if they were whole new characters (CIA Director).
I will not finish this book. I will not purchase the next book. I will wait for my library to get a copy

Great story! Awful reader!

Please before you purchase this book, think long and hard. The reader does a great disservice to the book in her delivery. Had I not purchased it to listen to on a long car trip, I would have immediately returned it. The story is exciting and engaging, but I will not purchase other books by this narrator.

Great story! Awful reader!

This is the second book in the Edge of Extinction series and is just as exciting as the first. However, the reader is terrible. There are no breaks at all for paragraphs and sentence are often read as run-ons into the next sentences. She also has no inflection in her delivery. I have listened to this book with my children and all have commented on how poorly it is read.
