Historia
College student Joe Talbert has the modest goal of completing a writing assignment for an English class. His task is to interview a stranger and write a brief biography of the person. With deadlines looming, Joe heads to a nearby nursing home to find a willing subject. There he meets Carl Iverson, and soon nothing in Joe's life is ever the same. Carl is a dying Vietnam veteran-and a convicted murderer. With only a few months to live, he has been medically paroled to a nursing home after spending thirty years in prison for the crimes of rape and murder.

This story flows as gently as a gentle stream and grows into Niagara Falls. I will be looking to thank this author and listen to more of his works. What began as nothing more than ‘windshield time’ has turned into an edge-of -my seat thriller. If you are reading this review DO NOT pass

Historia
In a memoir remarkable for its quiet confidence and acute natural observation, the author of Paddling Hawaii and Paddling My Own Canoe begins with her decision, at age 60, to undertake a solo, summer-long voyage along the southeast coast of Alaska in an inflatable kayak. Paddling North is a compilation of Sutherland's first two (of more than 20) such annual trips and her day-by-day travels through the Inside Passage from Ketchikan to Skagway. In 22 years, she encountered more than 30 bears, four wolves, and hundreds of whales.

More than what camera sees
Revisado: 12-26-20
I just finished this audio and glad I spent the credit. It hit home with me, just a simple concept, love for the outdoors. Why do we lose that sense of adventure, why is it not enough to separate from our electronics and simply be still in the outdoors? I’m not much of a “name” person. My wife got mad when we saw our dentist at a store and said “hello Darren”. After parting she said that’s “Doctor Thomas”
I laughed and said “he pays me because he doesn’t know what to do when his roof leaks”
We are all VERY good at things and less at others. It’s people like Ray that I think I could easily have a beer with and never he him say
“Tv show this, or documentary series that”
That’s the way it’s told because I think that’s the way I think he is.”

Historia
Colin Calloway uses the prism of George Washington's life to bring focus to the great Native leaders of his time and the tribes they represented: the Iroquois Confederacy, Lenape, Miami, Creek, Delaware; in the process, he returns them to their rightful place in the story of America's founding. The Indian World of George Washington spans decades of Native American leaders' interactions with Washington, from his early days as surveyor of Indian lands to his military career against both the French and the British to his presidency.

Seeking the truth
Revisado: 08-29-20
I appreciate not biased accounts of history.
I saw how george went from a greedy individual
And incompetent commander to a heavy hearted old man trying to find a way to help the original inhabitants that he helped to displace.
Although he wanted to help them he never strayed for his desire for white people to occupy their land. It was ironic that the lands he fought so hard to obtain through deception and white& political entitlement never produced the fortunes he was so desperate for
And he died with resentment at squatters and land speculators without seeing the mirror.
